I am watching Grand Designs, they are using Japanese Larch a tree grown in Britain on huuuge areas of National Trust land....
Unfortunately it is diseased and has to come down, this wood has on the show been found to be super strong and requires no pre treatment prior to being used in construction.

Now, is it me or could this disease be a blessing in disguise?
I'm thinking a new town made with/in situ of the forest....
could this be possible?

We planted a Japanese larch a few weeks ago ,it has now wilted and gone to tree heaven, will larches be viable again?

I dunno, these were full grown trees... Like a forest.
It's a bit worrying isn't it?
