I wouldn't like to be because it means I'm dead....but I am on the register.
Following on from Ammis thread though, I am not sure if I would allow my son to donate(and hope to god I never have to make that decision)
funnily enough, my mum signed our family up just yesterday to be organ donors ..but idk about it :/

as im leaving my body to medical science im not actuallu sure if I can donate my organs, but if I can then yes why not? I don't need them im dead.
Yes I'm on the register. However if I die in the house alone I would like my cats to devour me. There is no reason for frivolous things like loyalty or honour to get in the way of a perfectly good meal.

I am, I told them they cant take my eyes though. Even though I will be dead, the thought of someone messing about with my eyes is horrendous :S

Hopefully one day the rest of the UK will catch up with that forward thinking country other wise know as Wales and automatically put you on the Donors list.

The eyes are actually one of the first things to rot though, they don't last long after death.
I am an organ donor, but i feel bad for whomever gets mine, i haven't treated my body very well.

Nothing of mine will last long after death as I will be cremated
I know its stupid to say they can have everything but..but I just cant get with the idea of scalpels on my eyeballs..even if I cant feel it or anything D:

I have a donor card but my parents won't sign it because they think it's morbid but they know I want to. I'm not sure if we have a register over here. I'm the same with the eyes though, it's too weird.

just don't like the idea of it really that's all. I might be dead but I still don't want my body being messed around with.

You don't like the thought of scalpels etc. in your dead eyes, but you are quite happy with the thought of your entire carcass being shoveled into a furnace?
Vicky.

I'm surprised so many people are not organ donors here. almost a third are not, that's very surprising to me.
I always thought it was obvious that you should want your body be used to help others when you die. It just seems obvious to me that it's the right thing to do.
Just like that movie Alive, they had to eat a dead body to stay alive. i don't care if they ate me after i die. it doesn't bother me at all if it helps them stay alive.
After you die, either you go to another place, or maybe there is nothing after death, but either way, we all should agree that once your body is dead it is worthless to you, so why do you care what happens to it?

Everything wrong with England today, we're all being kept alive from the cast offs from Wales. :bored:

Yes.
I am down for it already, if anything happened to me, if I can then be used to save other lives, then for me there is little to think about as to that.

Yes absolutely, I'll be dead I won't need them but it could save someones life........it's a no brainer really
I agree Niamh.. My aunt spent most if her life on kidney dialysis. Thanks to a transplant, she spent the last 10 years of her life living relatively normally..
I'd love to think that after I die, parts of my body can be used to save somebody else's life.
Jesus.

We should definitely change the law to an opt out system. They can have anything of mine they want, or they could put me in a museum so future generations don't forget me. Their call really.

I am, it seems like it should be legally mandatory actually. I mean you're dead, there's not much you can do with them.
