Do you think the voting for X Factor is fixed and they just use the votes to make money, and just make the whole results up yes or no?

No

Just like BB, they can't legally fix the vote

No I don't see what they'd gain from fixing it, the show thrives on the drama, it doesn't really matter who wins.

It's really very obvious that it isn't

Um no because it's illegal and isn't worth the trouble. It could close the channel

Manipulation through other methods, sure...vote fixing never.

The actual voting isn't fixed, but they don't half promote Nicholas as a singing god.

Thinking rationally I don't think TXF rigs the votes because the way they influence the votes is by time slots, song choices, and judges comments.

Of course they are running the risk of making a mistake with the vote count with this new Flash Vote idea.

I reckon the whole show is fixed to draw you into a contrived, homogenised human experience to distract you from y'know ... real ones.

Ok I'll leave.

They manipulate it.. but they can't directly rig the voting... they'll try and tactically get you to vote who they want to keep, i.e pimp slots for certain acts all the time, lots of props etc.. and who they want out, hardly any camera shots, early on in the show.

This notice that the acts that do well are mostly in the first 3 audition episodes. (At least in the US version, I think Melanie was in the fourth audition episode. )
