...LOL..well, I guess technically you could take a ship if you wanted to...but then what would be the point if you were sent for a year and that's how long you had to stay... (I don't know, I stole the question off another forum..)...

do you really think the bottle of champagne would last the entire year without you being tempted to drink it? and wouldn't seeing the boat on your island for an entire year drive you mad? i have a boat, i can leave, but i can't,, because i have to be here an entire year. i think it would drive you mad.

Likely a fair few people would wish I was sent to a desert island for a year.

For me, Batteries,CDs and CD player would be enough for me. I'd likely even enjoy the peace and rest.

I don't love joeysteele, and "CD's" is multiple things, it's cheating. each individual CD would count as 1 thing, saying "CD's" plural is like wishing for more wishes. going with an iPod filled with your entire collection, and also one of those solar iPod chargers would be a smarter option.

I think a year would be possibly easy to survive,time flies really although I accept on a desert island that would seem probably different.
I think I would find the whole thing a great challenge, as long as I had some music that I really liked then I would be very happy but I would love the different environment, learning about and exploring the island too.

I love to be on my own a lot and I am sure I would be able to sustain myself with things to eat from what was around me.

It would be lonely obviously but I would be filling my head with all sorts of things to tell everyone once I was back, I think I would find this rather exciting to say the least.
A year away from everything and everyone,it almost sounds perfect.
