View Full Version : Dilemma..
...you are walking down the street on your way to work and you're aware that your boss has told you, if you're late for work one more time you will be fired...you need this job/income...you see a dog drowning in the canal as you pass...would you take time to help save him..knowing that it'll make you late for work and lose you your job...?...

probably not tbh, i'm not getting in some dirty canal for a dog
if it were a person, maybe
Save him without hesitation.
It doesn't make me better than anyone else but on reading the post it was my instant reaction. I would assume the same reaction would hold through in real life. I can't imagine witnessing that scenario and walking past or simply directing the event to another passer by.

Yeah I think instinctively I would save him...I couldn't not and then sleep at night.
Then I would ring the local paper and tell them what a hero I was and get a plug in for my company....let the boss try and sack a hero then.
..ooooo, clever/sneaky, Annie..I like it...

I'm someone that has nearly caused a pile up because I hit the brakes in my car to avoid a bird, so yea. Boss man could suck it.

I would save the dog, then tell the boss I saved a child and say to him would they leave a child to drown.

I'd walk past the dog, if it was a human then yeah that would be different.

aww you'd have to save the dog, wouldn't you?
I'd never be able to live with myself if I walked on and did nothing knowing I could have. I'd jump in.

Save the dog, call the press... see boss squirm.
I would probably stand and stare for a while, point it out to other passers by, hope one of them would jump in and save it and if not just waste time talking about what we could do to save it probably until its too late and the dogs died
I'm aware this is a worst of both worlds situation because I don't save the dog and I'm late but it's probably what I would end up doing
I would save it and if my boss fired me for it then so be it.
I wouldn't want to work for him after that anyway..

Definitely save the dog, karma would sort my boss out.
I'm gonna get judged so much for this but, in all honesty, I'd more likely save a dog than human.
So yeah, I'd save ze pooch
