View Full Version : Would you agree with a real life Jurassic Park?
First off to the people on the other thread, I apologise. I requested the thread be shut down because I knew it was heading and it was my fault for including religion in it.
Anyway on the topic in hand let's forget the plausibility of it all for a second and imagine that next year they really did open a Jurassic Park. You have all the regulars in there; your brachiosaurus, Tyrannosaur, Albertosaurus, velociraptor, stegosaurus yadda yadda yadda.
My questions to you are;
1) If you had the opportunity, would you go?
2) What would be the reason for your choice?
3) do you believe it is right to give species who have long since expired another chance in life?
Niamh.

I thought the films were crap, and this idea of doing it in real life is even crappier - and no, I sure as hell would not go even if the entrance fee is only £100.

Yes I would Invest in the Island Project
and ensure millions of visitors
to keep the money going in.
Religion is too hot a topic :pipe:
Tell me about it.
I might make a religion debate thread the week before Christmas for posters who want to spend the Christmas holiday with a nice 2 week ban so they aren't enticed to come on here. :joker:

Clearly some people aren't sold on the idea of going to Jurassic Park so let me set the scene.
Your in a jeep, your bored sh*tless and your playing on your 3DS or your iPhone or whatever thinking "God this is crap"
The jeep is driving up this hill and you can't see the vista in front of you but your thinking you want to go home.
THEN
You hit the top of the hill and look over the vista, and this sexy babe is looking right back at you.

It's still playing god though, if we can meddle with space, life and death we can meddle with the past?
Mind you where would it end, dig Einstein up and clone him? :/

Surely we should be preserving the fauna we still have?
There was talk some years ago of trying to bring back the mammoth from mammoth parts found frozen in Siberia.
The whole premise of the original book skipped a number of important scientific hurdles that are needed to get this to work.

There is the Eden project?
But yep I get where sticks is coming from, even on here the feeling is we should not touch the profits of the big six and instead forgo any green levy stuff responsibility to the future.
I watched a docu where they did actually extract DNA from a dinosaur bone....so you never know? :D
Only if they let me ride a Triceratops.
