TV bosses face a row over Lady Gaga’s racy performance of her explicit song Do What U Want after telly watchdogs Ofcom received over 150 complaints about her performance.

A spokesperson said: “There was a high volume of complaints relating to performance, costume and lyrics.”

An Ofcom Spokesman said: “We will assess all the complaints received on this issue before deciding whether to investigate.”

An ITV spokeswoman said: "We do not believe Lady Gaga's performance was inappropriate for the family audience of the X Factor Results show, which has an established tradition of featuring performances from the biggest music stars.

"Lady Gaga is well known for her highly individual performance style."

What's pathetic is when Hollyoaks got in trouble for a death scene which ONE person complained about, yes one

Her performance may have been unusual and it did make me a bit uncomfortable on Sunday night, but it's annoying that any controversy on TV always seems to get Ofcom complaints in this country, it wasn't hurting anyone.

Most people probably complained because of how s*** the performance was
