like general chat instead of chat games n chat
movies and tv instead of both.
celeb one and soap ones are hard to find. just seems a lot clicking back n forth all the time. simple is always best

..ahh, I see what you mean now...hmm, there is a good point in 'simplicity' but in this case I do also think it would make things more complicated though..

..general chat can include anything/human interest etc that people may not be sure or deem 'serious' enough to go in serious debates but it's also not exactly for chat and games etc..there are some interesting discussions/contributions on threads on there so to not have a post count for them would seem unfair...and with chat and games, you can post a gif/smiley etc to 'fun/silly' threads and make several 'spam' contributions so not having a post count for them seems ok as well...

.. 'celebrity gossip' type threads aren't really serious enough for SD either..they would just clog the section up and make it hard for members to find threads they're looking for..which are often older threads but there may have been an 'update' or afterthought to them...

...I think there are just too many movies/TV series to have one section for them all and together with vid games etc as well..that section would become too 'crowded' and complicated...

..so I think it's probably about as 'simple' now as is possible with the variety and all the reality TV sections as well...

yea maybe. i dont see much being posted though on the celeb tv n film ones. or general interest, i think film and tv could easily be one section. and others posted elsewhere
i would post on the soap ones more but never see it lol

Have you tried the 'New Posts' and 'New Non-BB Posts' links at the top of the page? They show you all updated threads since you last visited. There is also 'Today's Posts' under 'Quick Links'.

I do agree though that a few of the extra sections are not needed.

Threads that develop a life of their own. It's hard to pinpoint the type, but everyone has seen at least one of these threads appear.

Don't think I've seen that one, but I can only imagine it was started by Marc. Threads that start off about one thing, but organically shift to being about something else, that other fm's come back and contribute to. It's hard to explain.

Threads that interest lots of different people, and individual debates break out in the threads, relating to the overall thing. Does that make any sense?

Do you mean threads that wander "off topic"?

Yeah, I love threads that start off as something daft like "what's your fav pot noodle flavour?" But end up with some hilarious banter.

Jesus.

Sort of. They don't go straight from toast to aliens. They go toast to bread, to toasters, to crumbs in toasters, to cleaning, to flannels, to using the toilet in space etc. Although they wander off topic, they do so because that's just what's supposed to happen.

I like threads I can debate in,I find some of the threads a bit boring and pointless as in "What you having for tea" types,I also like fun threads like 'secret santa and stuff, and threads about TV/film and music are sometimes good,I find too many chat threads saying the same things really, and you cant beat a good old FIGHT thread, lol,I do find some threads over censored tbh.

Mainly the sports threads and TV threads but also threads that involve posting music, films, games and memories from the past.. there's always something that someone will post that i'd have completely forgotten about from when i was a child, i'v found so many films and songs on the forum that i'd never been able to find or remember by myself.

General chat type threads are normally pretty good, the ones that ask interesting questions about stuff or peoples experiences without being too serious

Like has been said the sport threads are good too, especially the football one obviously
