The Boss of Centrica effectively told reporters that he wouldn't take his £1.7 million bonus THIS YEAR but he refused to say whether other board members would follow suit. Centrica owns British Gas one of the Energy companies loading their customers with ANOTHER 10% rise, could it be possible that if ALL the board members didn't take these obscene bonuses the rise in prices could have been avoided or at least reduced??

Someone earning £25,000 pa would EARN £1million over 40 YEARS!

IF he pays the taxes on it, he will get just over half.

Still sounds a lot but then I suppose it is no more than most high earners get.

It's not a wage, it is in addition to what he makes as salary.

Yeah, his bonus.
Hubby gets a yearly bonus, unfortunately he is not a high earner.

Centrica are cagey about profits, they suggest profits were 3-4%...
And how could they afford to pay stakeholders 800 million then?...
If you can afford to go off grid do it, the outlay would be quite a lot unless building your own home. To never have another energy bill, or even better have them pay you?.... As arista would say 'utter bliss'.

I don't object to bonusses but I think that is way too much in reality.
