Are you a paranoid person convinced everyone's out to get you or do you not even think twice about walking alone at night?

Think anyone would feel petrified in pitch black dark, but as in streetlights dark, I'm alright

Depends on the time of night and if I'm drunk or not

Before 10pm and sober...yeah that's fine, after midnight and sober...never, after midnight and drunk, well I at least have the courage to get on with it whereas if I were sober I would just point blank refuse, but if anything it makes me more paranoid and I rush to wherever I need to go

Yeah I'm alright with it, quite often am out alone at night in the early hours, that's not to say I don't wonder if everyone I pass might be a mugger or a murdering psychopath but I take my chances that they're probably not

Yeah, I'm cool with it. Just put your hood up and listen to some music through headphones and you are at the destination in no time anyway.

I am scared to go outside at night, especially alone, I live in quite a dangerous area and a few weeks ago someone pulled out a gun at a petrol station I was buying milk in at dusk, also got followed by a dodgy guy in Tesco recently, so it has been extreme since then, so I am scared to go out alone even if there's visibility, latest I'd say is around 6pm these days.

Generally yes - I used to go for walks in the middle of the night every night around 2008/2009.

It doesn't bother me. I have to admit I feel more unsure if I see any groupings of others.

I have lived in both and there is much less chance of anything happening in the countryside. (But I suppose there is also less chance of help if something does happen, lol).

I sometimes take walks at 3am and have done for years so walking alone in the dark, even when it is pitch black through the countryside doesn't bother me. I find it kind of exciting and gets my imagination pumping.

Firstly why are you drinking at your age, secondly 4am is well past your bedtime. Children these days.

Depends on the time, would have no problem walking around in the dark up to around 10pm, after that I would probably take a taxi.

Oh God, I can't even remember the last time I walked anywhere alone in the dark. I wouldn't feel very comfortable about it no

You are much safer being followed by a vampire than walking past a group of drunks wearing Hoodies.

Parliament should enact a law that anyone wearing a hoody in public after 6 pm is automatically arrested and locked up until 6 am next day!

I go on walks a lot at like 3am, I normally walk in the woods or by the lake. There is a tiny bit of fear at the back of my mind but I think that's one of the reasons I do it.

I have no problem with it, and I need to walk a pretty dodgy half an hour of estates to get to where I live currently.

I used to be terrified of it when I was young because I got 'hopped' as the expression goes when I was 16 which kind of gives you that skepticism of dogs thing, only with people. But really chances are nothing will happen to you. Especially if you invisible yourself and walk with a bit of confidence.

Worse thing you can do is look all meek and tetchy staring across the road at your would be attackers. You may as well draw a bullseye on your balls.

Hood up, bit of Brian Ferry swagger on the iPOD, you be graaaand.

I have to mention, hearing another child is dead because of a "family pet" this is one of the biggest reasons I am afraid to walk in the dark. It's the time when families take their pets out for a walk, unleeshed and fook who is returning home and gets in the way.

Parliament should enact a law that anyone wearing a hoody in public after 6 pm is automatically arrested and locked up until 6 am next day!

Sometimes a hoody is needed though, especially if it isn't raining but just cold. :nono:

I doubt people will be afraid of me in a hoody. The worst I can do is swing my man bag at them, bitch slap them then mince off into the darkness of the night.

Night walks are great. The perfect time to roll back through your day, some memories, and thinking about life, in general; peaceful. But, yeah, have had a few bad experiences with other folks traveling along their own paths of opportunity. Go out, but be safe, guys. If you're remotely unsure of yourself, bring some light at the very least, and keep a phone on you. If you're an overly proud and ambitious one, still take those two things. Nothing wrong with bringing an extra heavy flashlight, built of metal. Hey, it's a weapon if you need to defend yourself...from that idiot trying to disturb your peace and quiet. :)
