It's against the rules to sell merchandise about the show. :nono:
well I am absolutely appalled

If he wants to be taken seriously he should not be doing this.
they should just kick him off now and save us all the hassle

This was the best bit of the article
The news has apparently come as a blow to fellow contestant Nicholas McDonald, who had hoped to raise money from for charity for selling similar garments.
lol trust him to turn himself into a Saint..:joker:
I think it is quite enterprising of Sam, if people want to buy that stuff why not, I guess he was unaware that he is now "owned" by Syco.

But it's against the rules. Surely he was aware before he entered the show?

If he was aware he would be hardly be doing it under their noses! personally I don't see what the problem is, he is trying to sell support T shirts and make a bit of cash off his 5 minutes of fame.

Because the others haven't been able to do it. It seems unfair.

Maybe they didn't think of it. After all if his family wanted to hand out free T shirts to all in sundry queuing up to see the X I can't really see that the producers could do anything about it, it's only because he is trying to make money they have turned sour.:joker:

Luke has made posters for fans to use online. They're really good. :D

Excellent point Cherie.
Like all rules of shows, such as even on BB too,(where housemates have to be constantly reminded of the rules despite them being told them before going in), it is clear some things get missed,it must be difficult to take on board all the rules that are thrown at you when you become part of something like this.
I loved your comment as to maybe he didn't realise he was now owned by syco, that is what annoys me as to the X Factor, they are for the time they on it, in effect trapped by power mad individuals.
No matter what hassle they may have had, they still have to do the X Factor tour afterwards,if eleigible, even if that could stand in the way of them getting on with their careers in another way.
I would say this showed an enterprising side of Sam C. actually, had anyone else done this, they would likely be being praised for it.
I accept rules are rules but I have dismissed some rules over my life and in reality even forgot certain rules genuinely too,I dare bet I am not the only one and I am sure Sam C is not the only one either.

To each his own, but wouldn't want Luke to do this to be honest.

£12 for a signed photo.....really?
Proves he is in it for the money. He must be after making a bit while he can, the judges comments last week probably rang alarm bells in his head.
Hope he goes this week.

No offence to his fans. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but it all seems a bit cheap to me. :suspect:

Says everything you need to know about a karaoke competition that anyone would buy stuff from them anyway. How is this show still on, and a show like Fame academy was scrapped?

I know. It's become a popularity contest now. The good acts go home, while the rubbish ones get through. Ugh! :bored:

in sam's defence this 'merchandise' was selling before he came on the show because of the tours he's done with the likes of union j and district 3 from last years series x

Smart lad. Alot of money to be made off Merchandising. Hell some Artists probably make more off that than music, ala Tinchy Stryder.
