Have the Christmas lights switched on in your town today

I don't even know if my home town makes a big deal out of it, never heard of anyone coming to switch them on, they just tend to go up and come down again without any fuss..

God, no. It's a little early, isn't it? I was in a shop today buying a greetings card, and they were playing Christmas music. The staff had that desperate, glazed look like one of them is going to crack long before Christmas Eve due to an overdose of "Last Christmas" by Wham.

We have a month long Christmas Sparkle.
Lights normally go on about the same time as my birthday so maybe hubby will oblige and put our outside ones on for me.
Kat Copeland, Olympic Gold rower will be turning ours on this year, alongside a few footballers, the mayor and the lead from Jack and the Beanstalk.
