Not an Abi fan but there are loads of fragile uk piano girl singers doing limp cover versions of male singers (featuting in supermarket ads). Ellie Goulding used to be one till she switched to dance. Can Abi succeed in this baffling popular genre?

Not really, she should have never gone on the show, it doesn't suit her style/genre, singer songwriters generally should stay away from the contest, you won't get to write your own stuff if you get a recording contract from the show

and the ''former xfactor contestant'' tag won't help her once she gets eliminated

i really hope so and she got voted off too soon i knew she wouldn't win but i thought she would of lasted longer she was unique and how could they save sam C for another week and boot out abi that was an insult! :shocked:

and i dont know why people are saying she's like diana vickers i dont know what they mean by that!??? LOL for starters they look nothing alike they both have totally different voices plus Abi got voted off very early whereas Diana vickers lasted a while

Diana vicker's voice irritated me and i could never enjoy any of her performances at times she sounded out of tune to me and her voice was very nasally and weird and it baffled me as to why cheryl put her through when there was much better singers who got turned down she seemed to think diana vicker's was unique but i disagree :sleep:

whereas Abi has a sweet soft voice and IS unique and makes songs her own and puts a little spin on it she has a good ballad voice

Ok so I'm not a Vickers fan either but ... ... You find her voice "nasally", but you LIKE Abi Alton's voice? ... She sang through her nose almost constantly?
