WE all have nights where we've drunk so much that we forget what we said or how we got home.

But party loving Luke Harding had the mother of all hangovers after getting steaming drunk in Manchester nightclub Tokyo's and waking up in PARIS.

The 19-year-old was getting a cab home at 4am when he suddenly decided it was a good idea to head to the French capital after finding his passport in his pocket.

He told the cabbie to change course to Manchester Airport, and booked a last minute flight for £100 at 6am using his iPhone.

And when he woke up the next day in a TOILET at Charles De Gaulle Airport, he realised he'd made a bit of a detour - a 500-mile detour to be precise.

“Only woke up in the toilets of Charles de Gaulle airport an hour ago and half of Oldham know haha”

The factory sheet metal worker then became an unlikely Twitter star after he began tweeting his exploits to stunned pals.

Luke posted a picture of himself standing next to the Eiffel Tower and then another with the caption: "Sat outside the Arc De Triumph eating a croissant."

As his tale began to spread across the social media site, Luke began sending more tweets about his adventure.

He wrote: "Only woke up in the toilets of Charles de Gaulle airport an hour ago and half of Oldham know haha."

He added: "I got in a taxi to Manchester airport and booked a flight on my phone! Don't remember the flight.

"It's f..ing expensive here though. Mum thinks I'm a pillock.

"Walked past the Eiffel Tower 3 times! Not a clue where I am!"

The hangover got worse, however, when he was forced to fork out £170 to get a flight back to the UK, with the total bill of his last-minute decision coming to £300.

Luke, from Oldham, said of the trip: "It all started off just going for a pint after work with one of my mates, one thing lead to another and we decide we are going to go out to Tokyo's in Oldham.

"It turned out to be just a bog standard night and we started to get a bit bored and decide to call it quits and head off home.

"The only thing was by this time we are well and truly plastered."

After dropping off a pal he decided he wanted to stay out and saw an app that advertised cheap flights to Paris.

Luke added: "I decided the best thing to do was book a flight to see the Eiffel tower.

"It was just a spur of the moment thing and seemed like a good idea at the time."

To avoid the embarrassment of telling the cab driver he was just drunk, he made up a lie about being a junior doctor heading to a convention.

Luke, who remembers very little of the flight to Paris, was blasted by his mum when he told her what he'd done.

Despite the cost and the telling off from his mum, Luke doesn't regret the Paris trip.

He added: "It was great but it was bloody freezing, it's warmer back here.

"It cost an arm and a leg but I don't regret it. It's a funny story to tell my mates for years to come."

Maybe stick to bottled water next time, though!

If he was that pissed he wouldn't have been let on the flight :suspect:

Some people just walk with confidence when they're drunk, though. I know if I drink I can never get to the point where I'm dizzy or sick or anything, I just outdrink myself into this weirdly lucid state where I'm definitely pissed and running on auto pilot but can go around perfectly normal.

I don't think it's that great a leap of faith that these kind of people are capable of making it on to planes .

It would have been worse to go clubbing in Paris and wake up in Manchester.

Yeah like when I get really, really drunk I still text perfectly coherently, get home, don't lose my things, take out my contact lenses and brush my teeth but wake up in the morning and have no idea what happened the night before. Sloppy drunk people give the rest of us a bad name! Hats off to this guy
