Start a band, (or go solo) what style of music would you incorporate and what themes would you cover? Pop rap songs on sex and money or blend psychedelic music with abstract concepts, for example?

Art rock to make a concept album based on some sort of short story (similar to Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds or Jon Anderson's Olias of Sunhillow) that flows from track to track.

I would have it incorporate a specific theme (not sex, love or drugs something more important) and draw inspiration from all sorts of genres including classical, synthesiser, psychedelic rock, Japanese Taiko, one or two pop rock arrangements and some sort of signature sound to bring cohesion to the album.

A folk group where we all sing about our times on the railways and our problems with the bottle, would be cracking

Frontman of a harcore punk band doing songs that last about a minute each about random stuff and having mental live shows with loads of stage diving

Dark pop. I've always said I wanted to do Fame Monster mixed with Antichrist Superstar. Bleak overriding futurist themes of human identity and a desire to transcend the survival biased filter of perception.

We'd all go out on stage looking like Pris from Blade Runner, do some songs about brothel sex and Hinduism then **** off to smoke dope and drink vodka.

The bands name is sCumbags and the first album is titled 'Selection For Societal Sanity'. I've had this stuff in my head and in books for years.

So far we have a rough jam group going and do not have the money and thus equipment to match our lofty ideas.

Sounds pretty awesome and I do like 'dark' new wave/post-punk/whatever. Always seem to have the Editors in my mind whenever I think of stuff like that.

Mine would be something anti establishment, like chumbawumba... Who funnily enough started a couple of miles from me.
Uplifting rebel rousing beats with socio- political lyrics.
I wonder if Russel Brand can sing?....
