Pop Idol did do a tour after the show Graeme with all ten finalists - I went to see them!
I think the Fame Academy tour is for all ten students, just the like the album.:spin2:

I spent £55 to go with my darling son to see Will, Gareth and Zoe.
Will was brilliant fair enough, but that sort of money is extortionate.
Out of all the Fame Academy students, I'd only really be interested in David, Nigel, Sinead and Katie, so it's not worth it!
(yes there is Scottish blood in me)

Fair enough Janette - I spent alot of money to go and see Pop Idol, and as much as I loved it, I wont go and spend money like that again unless as it is my idol or something because music concerts are pretty expensive!
But to put in a good word for Graeme, could it not be an early birthday present?:flower::colour:

I don't think I could be paid enough to listen to Ashley 'singing'
Finch, I think you must mean Ainslie, and him and David are probably the only ones I'd bother going to see.
I'm not going to see the Fame Academy tour, but I am going to see Darius in May

Wasn't Ashley the first to be voted out of the Academy?
I remember thinking at the time how unfair it was to make the students sing on a live show on BBC1 after so little time in the Academy - they'd only been in a week or so and had very little in the way of voice coaching and stage presence.
Ashley was clearly petrified - I don't think he'd had much performing experience before, and it showed. He looked like a deer caught in car headlights! Who knows how he might have progressed, given the chance . . . . . . .
It may be a point to take on board for the next series of Fame Academy - if there is one - and that is not to have the students performing on a live show before they are ready to do so. I think this was one of the reasons the show got off to a bad start, with the press calling it 'Lame Academy'. As the series went on, the students got better and better. Give them 3 or 4 weeks in the Academy before the first Singing for Survival! :dazzler:

I remember Ashley - he was the teacher who was pretty shy.
I also remember that Naomi, who David replaced - alot of the students I foget about.
I would agree with your point Kaz, I think the first show was pretty bad but who could blaime them - they were thrust onto the screen in front of millions of people with high exopectations of them, no wonder it didnt lift off so greatly.
Does anyone know if the BBC bosses are planning on doing a Fame Academy 2?:conf::spin2::spin:

I don't think the BBC have made a decision yet on whether there is to be FA2 I for one really hope there is. I was a really big fan of the show and the ones who were there in the last few weeks were very talented. I enjoyed watching them songwriting and rehearsing and there was little competitiveness or backbiting. I am looking forward to seeing them again on the tour although I do agree about Ashley and one or two of the others being quite poor, I am a big fan of Ainslie, Sinead and Malachi and I'm sure some of the others will be very good.
Anyway, I've got to go to drive poor old Bunty and Floss there or else they'll be riding round and round Spaghetti Junction until May!!
