Fast and Furious movie star Paul Walker has reportedly died in a car accident Saturday afternoon in Southern California, reports TMZ.

Authorities are still investigating but TMZ reported Walker, 40, and another person in the vehicle died in the one-car accident. It is unclear who was driving at the time.

The actor has been taking people on test drives of the car at a car show to raise money for victims of the typhoon in the Philippines, TMZ reported.

Actor Paul Walker – best known for his role in 'The Fast and The Furious' franchise has reportedly been killed in a fiery car explosion in Southern California.

TMZ reports that the actor was in a Porsche when the driver somehow lost control and slammed into either a post or a tree before the car crashed and burst into flames.

It's understood that Walker and one other person who was travelling were killed in the crash.

Earlier reports suggested that Walker's death was a hoax.

The teen heartthrob rose to fame after starring in the 1999 hit film 'Varsity Blues'.

He was best known for starring as Brian O'Conner in the wildly successful movie franchise 'Fast and The Furious'

Senior Vice-President at Colombia Tristar Pictures DeVon Fraklin tweeted: "Condolences to the family of Paul Walker. Our prayers are with him and his FF at this difficult time".

Walker is survived by his 14 year-old daughter, Meadow.

Tbh at that stage of the accident (fire etc) they can't do much to help him. Humans are just really curious and most people have camera phones now so they are gonna take snaps. It's sad and a bit sick, especially now they know it was a death and they still choose to upload them

the harsh reality. is a famous person being incredibly reckless!.
taking people out or letting people drive a high powered sports car on public streets will always end badly.
this could easily have been far worse if they hit another car or pedestrians.
if you want to raise money set up a track day so it can be properly organized or donate some money from your own fortune.

Yeah, I'm sorry, its sad that the other person died too..but its different. We know nothing about this other guy..I guess it could be argued that we don't really know anything about Paul either, but a lot of people grew up with him on our screens, we know a lot more about him than the other person so obviously it will be sadder about him, if that makes sense.

Since the guy was a race car driver I wonder if he was being careless on the road. I read somewhere that they're questioning whether they were trying out tricks or something.

It's been so ****ing annoying these past few days on here when we are getting sniped at constantly for showing any compassion at all in any of these tragic threads.

If people don't care about the news that we are discussing or the people that have passed away that are being posted about then they can just piss off out the thread tbh.

I agree.. If any member feels it's wrong for the rest of is to feel sadness over these tragedies, they should shut their faces out of respect if nothing else. :bored:

There has to be more to be disclosed about that accident, the guy was a very experienced driver. The tree he hit appears to be on a central, raised, reservation. The apparent force that the car hit the tree with seems way out of line with the speed restrictions that are in force in America. No doubt more will be appearing in the next days.

Paul Walker dead: Roger Rodas' EIGHT-YEAR-OLD son bravely battled to save his dad from fireball wreck
1 Dec 2013 17:06
Actor and former racing driver friend killed instantly after Porsche Carrera GT smashes into tree and bursts into flames

The eight-year-old son of Roger Rodas bravely tried to save his dad as flames engulfed the supercar following the crash which killed Fast and Furious star Paul Walker.

The boy jumped a fence and ran over to the burning car in a desperate bid to free his trapped father.

Witness Jim Torp told the NY Daily News: "I ran over afterwards, I was trying to find Roger’s son.

"I found out his son had jumped the fence and gone over, he was trying to get his dad out.

"Paul Walker’s best friend was trying to get Paul out of the car while it was still on fire ... he was trying to save his friend ... there was nothing he could do."

Roger met actor Paul when they raced cars together at various events, and Rodas later became Paul's business partner and financial adviser in 2007.

Rodas, 38, was the CEO of Always Evolving, a car customisation shop, where Saturday's charity event was being held.

Paul leaves behind his 15-year-old daughter Meadow, and former pro racer Rodas leaves behind his wife and two children.

Tragic actor Paul was pictured just hours before his fatal final journey - alongside the car he died in.

The eerie photo shows the late 40-year-old alongside his friend's bright red Porsche GT just hours before his death.

Walker was in the passenger seat of a friend's red Porsche GT on his way to a charity event when the driver lost control.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's department confirmed when officers arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle had gone up in flames and two people were pronounced dead.

Roger was the CEO of Always Evolving, a car customisation shop, where Saturday's charity event was being held.

Paul Walker's body was burned so badly the coroner needs his dental records to identify the body ... TMZ has learned. A rep for the L.A. County Coroner tells us ... the bodies of Paul and his friend/business partner Roger Rodas are currently unidentifiable and their autopsies will be delayed until later this week. We're told the coroner is waiting on both sets of dental records before proceeding. Rodas -- who was driving the Porsche yesterday -- was friends with Walker for nearly a decade ... and Roger has been credited with helping Paul start his race shop. The two also joined forces to create the "Reach Out World Wide" Foundation to help disaster relief in other countries -- and as we first reported ... the group was behind yesterday's fundraiser for typhoon relief in Santa Clarita. Paul's rep says Roger and Paul were leaving the event when they wrecked. Rodas was 38 years

According to TMZ, Walker's reps had the fake page removed. Meadow does not have any social media accounts. On Dec. 1, the Internet flooded with a "message" from Meadow... some people thought that it was too soon for a 15-year-old to post online -- and they were right.

"We're told Paul's people instantly sprung into action when they discovered the BS page ... and contacted Facebook to have it removed ... which they did (sic)," TMZ reports.

I'd say any car that blows up upon crashing it is probably very flawed. Obviously sometimes these things will happen in impact scenarios but generally it's a design flaw more than anything for that to happen with something like crashing into a tree, is it not?

There was a high speed crash near me a few months ago. Two guys stole an Audi and crashed at close to 90 miles and hour and the car exploded...it wrecked houses too so it does happen when crashed at high speeds into solid objects. They had to use dental records to identify them too... With the flammable fuel there has to be some risk of explosion...

Kizzy

James Wan confirms Fast & Furious 7 will be finished

Following the tragic death of Paul Walker last week, the future of the Fast and Furious franchise has been unknown as the cast and crew concentrated on grieving for their friend.

But now the director of the seventh instalment, James Wan, has confirmed that work will resume on the film, which the actor had been in the middle of filming along with co-stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson

Production on Fast & Furious 7 shut down following Walker's death in a car accident on 30th November, but asked by TMZ whether work will resume on the movie at some point, Wan replied: "Yes," though he didn't expand on a timeframe.

Asked how Walker's colleagues were coping, Wan added: "They're pretty sad… [and] pretty sombre. But, we are all dealing with it."

Last week, Universal released a statement confirming the pause in production, saying: "Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul’s immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers.

"At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise

"We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our dear friend Paul Walker."

The studio also released a video paying tribute to Walker's work on the franchise

Just read this don't know if true or not.

I wish people would ignore this so called Baptist Church. In fact the Westboro Baptist Church is not part of any Baptist movement. It is a stand alone "church" created and run by one man Fred Phelps and his extended family.

It's main business is to picket funerals of people who are controversial , it preaches old style fire and brimstone Calvanism and is widely condemned as a sick publicity seeking cult. It has no more than 60 members so really should just be ignored....!!!!
