When they're together now, Pete twitches a lot less, and Nikki is calm and tantrum free when he's there.
I hoped that Nikki would overcome her childishness (the bad parts, not the cute bits), and learn to be less materialistic. To me, she's a good-hearted girl who's been through a lot, and ended up hiding behind the footballer-chasing and clubbing.
Pete gives her the confidence to turn her back on that, and like he said in the diary room, to finally have a chance to be happy for real. In his words, "Nikki's going to have some fun this year, and see how good life can be when you don't conform."
I know a lot of people get down on Pete or Nikki for their own reasons, I just wanted to show that I think they are genuine people who deserve to win. I'm not saying Aisleyne or others don't, or that anyone should change their mind about who they like. Just remember to look for the good in everyone.
