If you could make a Christmas wish for someone else or for the common good, what would it be?

Being serious I hope that Nelson Mandela gets a respectable Funeral and no Margaret Thatcher stuff that happened over here as while yes it's wrong to give her a State Funeral when we're in such a supposedly **** state, it still doesn't mean it gives us the right to disrespect her the way some people did, and I hope South Africa learns from that.

Yeah, I understand and that's a very good thing to hope for, he's a very respected man though, I am sure it will go well and he will have a good peaceful send off. :D

I wish for everyone ill in hospital to get out for christmas day so they can spend it illnessfree with their loved ones, but the next day they would have to go back to hospital and be ill again as there in no point in all the nurses, doctors and other hospital staff losing their jobs during the festive season.

..is your mum away then, Jess..?..

Yes, she is going to spend Christmas with her boyfriend. So I will just be here at home without even the access to an oven, and possibly no electricity. D:

My nieces and nephews are only aged between 1 and 10, they have to spend it with their parents. :P

The company that supplies electricity to all of Ireland is supposed to be going on strike on the 16th and it could last for all of Christmas if they don't get what they want.

We haven't had an oven in years either, too expensive. :P We have a hob and grill though.

..I hadn't heard about the electricity issue in Ireland, Jess..but if no one will have it then maybe something will be arranged by the community for everyone because people won't just sit in their homes on their own, not being able to cook a hot dinner..?..so maybe you'll spend it with other people who it also effects..
