...and you are given the resources to set up a safe haven anywhere you please, food and vital supplies aren't an issue but you do have to worry about Zombie attacks and possible attacks from other people. With this in mind where would you choose to go?

My first thought would probably be an island but unless it was heavily fortified it would be a flawed Haven as hordes could be washed ashore. I'm gonna go for a Castle, a nice remote castle somewhere in a rural European area. You wouldn't have to worry about Zombies and an average bandit or human threat wouldn't have the tools needed to successfully sack a castle.

I'd just get it over with and shoot myself because realistically we're never going to recover from a Zombie Outbreak and I'd just be prolonging the inevitability

Not a very adventurous option.

Way up in the Rocky mountains, would like to see any of those bastards make it up there and we would have the higher ground over them, could enjoy some nice skiing in the calmer times as well

A recovery would be possible, you could wait out the zombies, they'll end up decaying to a point where they wouldn't be a threat.

Then you'd practically be alone for the rest of your life and it would be generally be too depressing like in I Am Legend

I am taking this too seriously aren't I

..in all seriousness...my OH and I had a huge conversation about this recently because he has recently started to watch The Walking Dead, well he's watched quite a bit of it now...and being a series as opposed to a movie, the characters develop more ...the non zombie muggles kind of lose principles/beliefs etc and have to become more selfish/ruthless/heartless etc to survive..in a way, I get that but then I sort of don't either because I was likening it to WW1/2 and what everyone says about those situation creating a feeling of 'one/in it together/community'...how those times also brought out the best in each other/human nature...and there are similarities...immediate threat/survival/rationing....yet in a zombie attack, I think he's right and it would bring out the worst in human nature in that it would have to for people to survive...so I wonder what the fundamental difference is ....

...sorry for the long post, I just actually find this really intriguing.....

There's a big old manse near to where I live but still in the wilderness enough for people not to come across it or pass it so I would probably head there.

Honestly though our village is kind of in the wilderness itself so we probably wouldn't even know there had been a zombie attack tbh

Assuming you mean anywhere in the world, then I'd pick Switzerland. I read somewhere that there are miles of unused nuclear bunkers left over from the cold war. Seems like the best place to wait out the apocalypse if you ask me.

There's an old walled priory near where I live. It has a high stone wall all around it with a huge metal gate being the only way in. Inside, the building itself is surrounded by a moat. There's quite a bit of land inside the wall to keep livestock and grow stuff. On my way there I'd swing past the local country pursuits shop and stock up with shot gun cartridges and any ther weapons I might be able to get to, past the tool hire place for a couple of generators, couple of forays for petrol and food and I think I'd be quite comfortable.

Me and Gav always talk about this and we decided we'd either go live on a boat or a small island somewhere, surrounding yourself with water seems like the best option as Zombies can't swim

In The Land Of The Dead the Zombies get quite 'intelligent' and walk across the bottom of the water to get to the humans.

I would make water pistols that shot liquid nitrogen, then shoot them so their frozen legs exploded in a thousand peices and they just roll around on the floor. :D
