Me either. I'm interested to know who is, and if it's just certain things..

No, I think all of that mumbo jumbo is a load of crap, yeah it was exciting 500 years ago but it slightly worries me that it still exists in this day and age, we are too advanced to believe in such things..

Not really, sometimes I sort of convince myself I am for the psychological benefit if you know what I mean, like I will decide a piece of clothing is lucky if something good happens when I wear it and then hope it will continue being so even though it's obviously not really

Thing with superstitions is, they can get absolutely ridiculous in some cases..just break the superstition once and see what the outcome is and you'll probably find it has no bearing and you'll be cured

I am! Only with some things though, like if I see a magpie I always say good morning mr magpie, how's mrs magpie lol stupid really but I can't stop now and I think odd numbers are unlucky. I guess I know it's stupid but there's still that bit of doubt lol.

Nope, I think some of them kinda make sense though, like not walking under ladders kinda makes sense, especially if someone is on it painting.

But thinking that the act of walking under a ladder makes you unlucky seems primitive.

Yes, very! To the point where I wouldn't eat from something if the packet was opened upside down. Here is a list of other things

Ladders
Breaking a mirror - you must leave it for seven hours!
Twisting the top bit off an apple - if it takes more than 10 attempts to come off then don't eat it because it's poisonous and satan wants to kill you
Wearing days of the week underwear/socks on the wrong day - not only do I believe it's bad luck it's also ratchet, questionable and unhygienic

What's worse is that I strongly live by all of these in my everyday life, I have more but I can't really explain/too embarrassing to share

..I don't feel comfortable walking under a ladder and hate when a mirror has been broken but I don't think I'm superstitious though...I think I just hate walking underneath something in general in situations when something could fall, so it's no problem to walk around it...and broken glass is never good and a nuisance to make sure you've cleaned up every little bit and no one will get hurt/walk on it etc...I don't think it's a superstition thing...

..I would say the only thing I'm superstitious about, which is more of an old family tradition from my parents..is that I can't keep my Christmas decorations up going into January..I have to 'remove' the old Christmas to start a new year and I'm really obsessive about that, so I often take them down on the day after Boxing Day...which sounds miserable but I adore Christmas....it's just something I've always done, as did my parents...

I am superstitious over stupid things, like magpies etc. I am always unsure whether a black cat crossing your path is good or bad luck too....

Did you mean 'cat' Annie?

Germyle, I love yours.. I always thought of the upside down packet one as more of a quirk than a superstition though. My o/h won't eat crisps or sweets from a pack opened upside down. He claims they taste different lol

I'm not superstitious, although I do salute magpies and I don't know why. Also 13 has always been a lucky number for me

I'd heard it was like a penis, only smaller.

I prefer to see it as a hair, only marginally bigger. I suppose it depends on whether your glass is half full, or half empty.

silly superstitions then no. its all a matter of mind. if you believe walking under a ladder will bring you bad luck chances are it will. cause you think it. negative thoughts and all that. has nothing to do with the ladder

i believe in signs though little superstitions where things happen to tell you something.

but the general ones are nonsense
magpies what the fk is a magpie never seen one never heard of it. what a load of pigpoo lol

they do taste different; all the more reason that it's a bad sign

thanks though, i'm so shocked at only two people voting yes, there have been numerous true stories about people getting actual bad luck by walking under ladders and breaking mirrors I don't know how everyone on here copes!

Yeah this. I don't walk under ladders because I don't want to be hit by something falling off said ladder, whether it's paint, a person, building material... just common sense really. I don't not do it because I think I'm going to be cursed though...

I don't know about completely black cats but my cat's black with some white patches and she's forever trying to trip my mum up down the stairs but I think that's because she's a dominant female and doesn't do competition.

At times. When watching football if I move from my spot I swear the team starts playing **** so I have to try stay in one spot throughout lol. For the record not even doing this can save them this season though

My o/h has some rule about the shirt he's wearing when he watches his team play. I can't remember if it's good luck or bad luck if he wears the shirt.

..my OH has that rule as well, he has his 'rugby shirt' which he has to wear when England play...I don't think it's an individual, personal rule..I think it's a 'MAN RULE'...
