I am raging right now :mad:

I have been waiting on my new sofas for ages now, anyone on here I have spoken to about them knows just how long, they were supposed to be delivered on Wednesday, I waited all day from 7am til 7pm and they never appeared, phoned up complaining and was told they would be here today between 12 and 5 (I think can't remember now) and the delivery guys are not long away after delivering................ HALF OF MY SUITE!!!!!!!!! FFS wtf kind of idiotic stupid bastard thing is that to do, give someone half of what they paid for?

So I have been on the phone shouting and now they are saying the 2 seater part of my sofa might not even be here before xmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not having that ffs.


Ahhhhhhhhhh I had to get that rant out there...

My Sister and Brother in law had the same issue with Asda recently, if you order stuff online (which I don't know if you do) then it seems to cause problems.

Once you calm down, ring them and tell them they have totally spoilt your Christmas and you would like some compensation to soften the blow.

Poor service from them, they should have at least pre warned you that not all the order was ready and also not turning up on the appointed day is unacceptable, , you have probably got rid of your old stuff in anticipation of the new furniture arriving as well :bawling:

check your order number ask them if they could mix it up,
in a nice way - not angry.

Aw Josy...that is rubbish. They really shouldn't dispatch an incomplete order. Don't just talk to whoever answers the phone either you need a manager.

Get the second part of your suite. Then do a chargeback on your credit card saying it wasnt delivered :laugh:

If both the sofas are not made from the same batch of material there will be a good chance it won't match identically.

..a similar thing happened with us a few years ago..we had ordered it/bought it in June/July-ish and it was eventually due to be delivered just before Christmas and we needed it because we didn't have the old one anymore...when it was delivered, one of the chairs wasn't what we ordered and after a few phone calls, it was that they had got orders mixed up and someone else had our chair..(they thought..)..but as they had delivered it to them a while ago and the people hadn't said anything..(if that's what happened..)..they couldn't get it back and we wouldn't have wanted it anyway...

...anyway, I wouldn't accept the delivery of the wrong chair and a few days later..(with a few phone calls from my OH..)...we got a much more expensive chair than we had bought..a lovely huge round swivel chair thing and plus quite a big voucher to spend in the store on other stuff/soft furnishings etc..so don't despair/don't accept this and either way, whether you get yours in time or an alternative that you're happy with..this could still end up win/win....

Disaster has been averted, I phoned them up again on Saturday and explained I wasn't happy with the service and had already removed my old sofas etc..and they are now delivering the other part of my sofa tomorrow.

I asked why then they had said there was a good chance it wouldn't be here before Christmas if they could deliver Tuesday and they never really had an answer.

I'm just glad i'm getting it now.

Yeah I was determined I was going to get a discount before they picked up the phone but then I ended up feeling sorry for the person I was talking to :(

So what was the reason for the delay if it's suddenly coming tomorrow?

Was it unfinished? Probably being lazy and wanting a lighter workload because it's nearly Christmas.
