View Full Version : Singing in the shower
Anyone else like to sing in the shower? I go the full hog, I take my mp3 player into the bathroom so I can sing along to music. My mum just came into my room and told me I'm mental and I should stop doing it, people will think I'm weird :conf: there's nothing weird about it!?
If you can't sing in the shower, where else can you sing?!
I always sing... Although I never sing anywhere else.

I know!!!! She's all "it's weird" and I'm like "oh yes that weird unheard of activity of singing in the shower" and she goes "I don't know anyone who sings in the shower" - well evidently not, going by the judgmental reaction of her and my brother! My dad couldn't give less of a ****
She's all "you do know we can all hear you" and I just went "good, I wanted you to hear" :laugh2:

Oh I always sing in the shower, and make up dance routines, and use the shampoo bottles as my microphone, you might as well go all out.
My voice sounds all angelic like in the bathroom :)
Everybody sings in the shower! I wasn't even being loud, just quietly singing along to some parts of some songs, you'd think I'd been giving it full blown Mariah Carey or something the way I just got spoken to

Now I picture you as Mcauley Caulkin in the shaving scene. I'm not sure if that says more about me. Or you.

My neighbour once told me she hears me singing in the shower....I just do it more quietly now until I can remodel my bathroom so the shower is not on the joining wall!

Aw zee, how joyless to not sing your little heart out.
What is your mother thinking telling you to stop! Mind you I have the opposite problem, my lad tells me to stop singing... the response? SING LOUDER! :D
"Your flatmates will think you're mental"
"Mum I think between them my flatmates speak a grand total of fifteen English words I think they're probably grateful for the practise"
I think it's safe to say I've won this one
Kate!

Only this far north do you get called a "loon" and people don't mean you're a mental case
What does loon mean?
Doos down here are breasts

Boy or young man, my granny used to say it all the time "she's bringing the loons up with her" etc.

Loon or loony here in Yorkshire means you're a lunatic (someone who goes a bit daft around the full moon)
Loons and quines = boys and girls
I had to work overnight in Aberdeen once..I could understand everybody except one lad; he spoke really fast and had a really thick accent.. It was hilarious! I couldn't answer him or converse with him at all.. It was like he was speaking a foreign language

I can imagine! There are a lot of guys like that who work at the harbour, had the dubious honour of getting to spend lots of time on the quayside and having to make conversation with them, so difficult to understand sometimes!

I've pretty much got the entire music video to Y.A.L.A. choreographed in my shower by now so yes, yes I do.

Yes! Same for us Mancs.
I think loon means lunatic everywhere in the UK south of Aberdeen
Depends what you're listening to.
