Well, the opening gambit of the programme is: there's a psychopath on your street, statistically, and there may be a psychopath in the England football team.

I don't know about the English football team... But I reckon there's at least one in my street!

Wow at the lawyer psychopath/sociopath.

She spoke very eloquently about it.

If there is one in the England team, I reckon it's a striker. I know John Terry's the obvious candidate, but I don't think so.

"The credit crunch was a mass outbreak of corporate psychopathy".

I missed that bit, I was at the off license.

She is an attorney and thinks the concept of empathy is strange, and she says she felt like a character from Blade Runner, afraid she's gonna slip up and be found out for what she is.

One of the times she realised she was different was when she was laughing at a boy with cancer who spoke funny and her father gave out to her.

But she did seem very likeable.

So it's James Bond. I was hoping it was someone real. But still, he's a hero, and we admire him. Isn't that what we do in war, idealise killers, so long as they are on our side?

It's crazy how many people would kill a baby.

Psychopaths have no phobias

Not familiar with Blade Runner, I never watched it, but I take it you mean she was a faker, pretending to be something or someone for the sake of her own survival.

The whole point of the programme is you can't tell who psychopaths are.

Are you talking about abortion?

No, are you watching this show at all???

The guy asked the test group, if they were in a room with a baby that they knew would grow up to be Hitler, would they smother the baby, the majority of them said that they would.

In the movie, in order to find out who is a replicant (a psychopathic robot/person that look identical to human), they give suspects an empathy test, those who fail are replicants.

So the lawyer said she kinda feel like she is gonna be found out for be a psychopath.

Was the lawyer a psychopath? Is that the point of the film? She could not be separated from androids?

So is hypnosis real?

Yep the lawyer was one, and there are no lawyers in the film, just kinda police trying to track down the robot killers.

So is hypnosis real?

Absolutely. But I'm not an expert. Why do you ask?
Are you heading towards the killing of Robert Kennedy and "The Manchurian Candidate"?

Nope. But I do hope people are interested.

Nemo123

I think the Manchurian Candidate, both the original and the remake are fascinating because they are about an assassination of a president who stood in the way of the Military Industrial Complex. By means of hypnosis.

How do you mean, Gypsy?

Nemo123

I've lost interest in this.
So, there are children who torture and kill, little animals, and then human beings.
It's boring. I couldn't give a **** speculating what's absent in their brain. It's boring!

My solution to psychopathy would be imprisonment. And then not giving a fook any more. Mice in a study of mice.

It's just that earlier in the thread you said you were missing the show because you were chatting to me.
