Nicole outsings poor Sam, told ya

I said Nicole would steal Sam's limelight in the duet and surprise surprise, she did. She did it last year to Jahmain and snatched the mic to make sure she was heard (James managed to out do her).

Don't get me wrong Nicole has a great vocal (I am shocked she is not as successful as some of the top US stars) but she showed Sam up, plus shehas the looks, charisma and sexiness Sam lacks.

Nicole is full package. If Sam was better than Nicole, then the fact that Sam is mumsy not conventionally attractive, unsexy, boringly married sweet but frumpy would not have mattered, but Nicole has looks, personality style sexiness AND is more talented. Why bother with Sam?

Female acts have to really market themselves now eg beyonce's sudden 17 videos, miley's naked wrecking ball, gaga's art pop nonsense. Male artists like jason derulo, pharell williams did less promo and succeeded. How the hell would Sam market herself?

Luke's votes won't go anywhere as he was an alternative to bland Sam and Nicholas. The two finalists probably OVERLAP the most. If you like Sam b you probably like Nicholas.

My favs have been RC, luke, miss dynamix and tamera (like hannah but I know she's not going to make it) so last few weeks have been awful.

However the XF audience is a broad ITV1 audience, grans, older mums make a high %. Which is why Sam B, Chris Malone, Steve Brookstein all did well (Sam b fanbase is similar to Malone). No bearing on music buyers who in 2013 liked Pharell, Daft Punk, Miley, Robin Thicke, Rudimental, John Newman and Taylor Swift.

Sam looked like a local kareoke competition winner who got the chance to sing with Nicole. I totally agree - and it completely put me off Nicole. I find her very attention-seeking despite already being so successful. It would. I was gobsmacked when we discovered Sam was getting Nicole - but was certainly not prepared for the shamble of Nicole letting herdown so badly - and actually competing with her rather than supporting her.
