Sweet old lady, but enough about Sam... her gran was shamelessly wheeled out to grab extra votes aka known as the Malone.

It felt really staged to me without the comedic factor that Maloney gave us last year.

And also if sweet old Grandma was scared of showing up her Granddaughter up so much then why show up on TV? And I don't believe that Sam B didn't know that her Gran was going to be there either, it's very cunning from the producers.

It was all very melodramatic, I think Sam was a bit embarrassed by the theatrics if I'm honest, so it probably was staged.

You know where the clearly better singer doesn't win, it's not exactly an alien concept to the Xfactor is it :shrug:

I agree, I think he could do it. Although they have similar fan bases, there are differences. Casual voters for Sam, Scottish and girls for Nicholas. Both get the old mum vote.

There are more casual voters than local, however Nicholas isn't just local vote he's got a national vote ie Scotland (if he'd been from Southampton he'd barely make it past live show #1)

Not bothered who wins in terms of the show creating a new star, however I had £60 on Sam when she was 10-1 so it would be handy if she won. There's money to be made on bland Sams winning reality shows in 2013 .:joker:
