New album 'I Never Learn' confirmed for May 5 :amazed:

Lykke Li will release new album I Never Learn on May 5. It's the followup to 2011's Wounded Rhymes. Watch a moody preview for the album below.

She considers the record the final piece in a triology that began with 2008's Youth Novels. Speaking about the record, she told NME, "I want to be seen as a singer-songwriter rather than a pop artist."

Since Wounded Rhymes, Li has spent time engaging with the film world, acting in a Swedish crime thriller and collaborating with David Lynch.

Lykke Li will release her new album I Never Learn on May 6 in North America and May 5 internationally via LL/Atlantic. Today, she's shared the album's tracklist and a video for new song "Love Me Like I'm Not Made of Stone". Directed by Tarik Saleh, it's a close-up portrait of Lykke. Read the lyrics to the song here.

The album was co-produced by Björn Yttling (of Peter Björn and John), Greg Kurstin, and Lykke. It's the final entry in a trilogy, which includes 2008's Youth Novels and 2011's Wounded Rhymes.

She says of the album:

Every song on the album is a power ballad. Like one of those old radio stations. This is a slow dance; a slow burner.

I wrote ["No Rest for the Wicked"] in Sweden when I was packing up my ****, and I’d just gotten out of a relationship and it was a horrible time. I just had the hurt, shame, sadness, guilt, longing. In the verse, I’m referring to myself pleading guilty but I’m referring to all of us.

She's also announced a series of world tour dates
