I simply cant subscribe to how important and successful the man is but you seem to think different so I guess I had better shut up and let you get on with promoting him. Sadly Blur are not my type of band but if you want to get a good old fashion REAL rock and roll star in there like Ozzy or Beck or Clapton, we would be debating on a different level. Each to their own but this numpty is only going in because he needs the money and thrives on the adoration he might get from the show. Is he a nice guy, maybe, is he a deserved celeb, definitely not. Will he bring anything to the show, probably not as he will start off all smarmy and self absorbed and when he gets grief he will throw his dummy out. Hardly they type that makes the show tick. Ive actually met him back in 2010 and got to dance (badly) with him and Sophie Ellis Bextor (she was slightly up her own arse) on stage and hang out back stage for World Aids Day. He is not up his own arse at all, he was cheeky, funny and never acted like he was up his own arse.

And if you read my post properly you would see that I wasn't having a go at people working at ASDA I just said people would knock him whatever he did. Meaning if he worked in a 9 to 5 after being in a successful boyband you and pretty much everyone else would take the piss and love his fall from grace.

They didn't have a "few forgettable hits they had 3 number 1 albums, 12 top 10 hits, 3 of which went to number 1 and like I said sold 14 million records. You don't get that from not working hard.

Exactly. Let's compare CBB10 and CBB11. I know CBB10 was in the summer and would have less viewers, but they had a much better overall cast than CBB11. Also look at the final week of CBB11, apart from Speidi and the Rylan row, there was NOTHING going on, however, the week increased in ratings and the final was the highest rated final of any BB series on Channel 5 despite the obvious winner.

Even if you can't compare the summer with the winter, lets compare CBB9 and CBB11 which were both on in the winter... CBB9 was a better series, better HMs, better finalists and often regarded a classic, but CBB11 still beat it.

I think what this means is that you can't really observe quality with ratings any more. You could have an incredible series that could rate low, or a poor one which happens to rate highly. I don't really know what happens to the ratings sometimes. It's a little unexpected. God knows what we are looking at this year, an average of under 2m or an average of over 3m. You just never know.

Lee Ryan wasn't ever planning to go into the big brother house the last two years. He tweeted last year how he was busy with Blue an wasn't going in . The year before he tweeted saying he was never ever signed up for big brother dismissing the rumours about being dropped & the money.
He'll be a funny housemate most people seem to hate him when they get to see him peoples opinions will change. He's a nice guy I've met him twice he's a genuine down to earth guy everyone will see that.

When you say sell out dates, is that like Wembley arena type of venues or Barnsley working mens club types of gigs. From a boy band to a bunch of middle aged men seeking fame and fortune with a format that hasn't changed since they went through puberty, is not a born again formula. Its a much of the same same and yawn yawn format. Definitely past their sell by date now.
