Bristolian comedian Justin Lee Collins could be going into the Celebrity Big Brother house. He is rumoured to be involved the latest series of the long-running reality show, now screened by Channel 5.
Contestants will enter the house on January 3 and its new decor, which changes every series, will have a kitsch look.It will have plush red velvet sofas, golden armchairs, ornate mirrors, grand paintings, glitter-ball chandeliers and a fake polar bear. Collins, who was born in Southmead but used to live in Kingswood, has rarely been seen on TV since his conviction for harassing his ex-girlfriend Anna Larke.
The last time the 39-year-old was rumoured to be joining the Big Brother House, her family launched a petition to Channel 5 against the idea. Collins, who denied the criminal charges, made a name for himself on Channel 4’s The Friday Night Project before making numerous TV programmes and having his own chat show.
