View Full Version : Chaos!
I was out shopping from around 1pm and got home just before 7pm.
It.Was.Mental.
The amount of people rushing around the shops was actually unbelievable and then in Morrison's I actually saw some people with 2 and 3 trolleys filled to the top waiting to be served, I mean wtf? the shops are closed for 1 day? surely a load of that stuff is going to end up tossed in the bin????
Do you buy too much at Christmas?
Natalie.

Me too! Our Morrison's was CRAZY! There I was with my one basket and the queue at the basket till was almost to the back of the store! I saw people with multiple trollies all piled up. It's open tomorrow AND Boxing Day! Also... pushchairs, hundreds of em, including those double wide ones. And the car park... took me ages to park. I was waiting for someone to pull out and when they did, a prick in a Smartcar pulled in. And I didn't get out and lamp him. It must be Christmas or something...

It is the same every year, It's like a Nuclear war has been called to happen next day and they are buying up everything in sight to store in their bomb proof bunkers!

Ugh its the same every year. You would think we were facing the apocalypse or something, not a days shop closure.
If they bought half of the stuff on boxing day too, I bet it would be about half the price :D

Last year I actually witnessed a real fight between 2 women over a turkey. I was laughing so hard Gavin told me to get out of the shop :joker:
at tescos they put crates of stuff in the staff room and we can just have it for free, usually all the good stuff is gone quickly.. today I managed to find a glade candle and a bottle of lenor though which was okay

I had to pop into asda today about 10am carpark chocka had to go in the overspill which is nearly @ my house. Hardly any trollies, got the last pack of mash, snowballs were hidden only 2 pack left. It was like a maze manouvering round the shop to avoid 100s of trollies/prams etc

staff said last year in waitrose there was a fight over a piece of meat!
My mum was raging when she came back from the shops today, she was trying to find a parking space, had turned up one of the lane things and there was a car blocking the way... because the driver had parked bang in the middle of the road. Meanwhile, other cars had followed her up that bit of the car park so she couldn't reverse back out. Bloody ridiculous.

I think a lot of people do their big monthly shop about now as well.
Thankfully I have had an Iceland and Asda delivery on Saturday and Tesco's one on Thursday.
