There is a satellite going to be flying over the UK around 6pm tonight, nasa have said if the sky is clear enough then it will be very visible so you can pretend to the kids it's santa.

I just heard (for what it's worth) on CP24 breaking TV News that it all came about by accident, apparently a U.S. newspaper , back in 1952, printed the wrong number for kids to phone Santa - guess whose number they printed?!
The guys at NORAD didn't want to disappoint the kiddiewinks - and so began the yearly saga!

BTW if anyone has relatives in Toronto they can see what problems the Ice Storm has caused. (Still 125,000 homes without electricity down from 250,000 yesterday!) > http://toronto.ctvnews.ca/video?clipId=68596

Did anyone see that satellite?

Sadly, no. Did you?

Lovely story, incidentally, about how the NORAD/Santa alliance began.
