I'd rather an actual original Christmas song was the Christmas number one than a gimmicky charity record, an X Factor cover song or an anti-X Factor campaign that has literally been chosen at random.

ACDC can **** off.

Surprised to learn this is their first ever top 10 hit single in the UK, this campaign.

Yep should have been Leona, the first decent original Christmas song in years. Makes a change from all these crappy covers and supposedly overplayed 'classics' that swamp the charts.

best xmas song was rage against he machine. i'm no acdc fan but anything thats real music played by real bands against this dribble gets my support.

a christmas song would be nice. but i,ll take anything over that dribble

I got so much enjoyment watching the ACDC campaign fail, they were all SO deluded they thought they'd easily get number 1 when HWTH was never even close on itunes too #1
They were all like 'I can't wait too see Simon's face when we thrash Sam Bailey' the day before on Saturday, like how deluded

Watching Leona beat them was just fantastic

Yep, I'm looking at their facebook page now and in between the endless "we love real music!!" comments I even saw one person on there claim that Simon Cowell rigged the charts to get Sam to number 1.

Lmao I saw that, and idiots saying that Leona only had 2 top 5 hits, and that JLS were bigger (:laugh3:) so I signed on and said, actually she has the record of the whole UK for female UK artists for the most top 5 hits, and she has 8 top 5 hits (A moment like this, Bleeding Love, Better In Time, Forgive Me, Run, Happy, Collide & One More Sleep), so please get your facts straight

I'm sure that went down well with them

I wish people would just buy whatever music they want and - if that means the X Factor gets the number 1 spot then so be it - rather than feeling as though they have to prove a point by joining in with these silly campaigns. It was mildly interesting the first time around in 2009 but they've just got really annoying since.

I'm far more of an ACDC fan than an xfactor fan, but Leona should have been number 1. Its a song that will still be being played at christmas in 30 years.

Skyscraper won't be ever heard of again.

Leona or Avicii should've been number 1 imo as they was the two best songs.
