The 2006-2009 Ne-Yo
In My Own Words, Because of You and Year of the Gentleman were so so so good. But Beautiful Monster was awful and the album was uninteresting and he hasn't been interesting ever since, totally lost his touch
Anyone else used to be a huge fan? Cuz he undoubtedly used to be one of my favourite artists :(

Sexy Love, So Sick, Because of You, and Miss Independent are all great. It has all been downhill since 2008

Well by "downhill since 2008" I thought you meant that's when he started to go bad
And anyway it's 2010 when he started to go downhill as he released YOTG singles in 09 and no new material

Beautiful Monster is great :bored:
He started dedicating more time to writing for other people didn't he? He was a bit throwaway really, I'm not surprised his career's been on the slide over the last few years, some of his early material was really good but as soon as he turned to generic dance music he made himself disposable. The same thing happened to JLS - they could have been great but they decided to go for repetitive dance music instead, so their career ended when people got bored of that sound.
