Indoctrination is something that is hard to comprehend, you would think it would be vulnerable, weak willed people affected but it isn't always.

I think it often is, but indoctrinating someone into having these powerful, all consuming beliefs will often give that person a feeling of being empowered and in control of their destiny... which is why you can never talk sense into people about to blow themselves up or something equally as shocking... they really believe in what they're saying because it's helped them to believe in themselves.

Also it shows that Islam is a completely made up religion, because 7th century men would think that 70 virgins is something for paradise, but what about those virgins that have to have some big, hairy, sweating stranger panting on them.

That alone tells anyone with interest in religion that it can't be true.
