warning following poor Christmas sales.
Shares in Britain's second-largest
department store plunged by as much
as 13% on Tuesday after it disclosed
profits nearly £30m lower than last year.
In a statement released by
Debenhams management,
they say that they now "expect the need
for additional markdown
to clear stock in January and February".]

...I went in there earlier in the week and their sale wasn't really very good and they seem to have all year round sales anyway, it didn't stand out as any different to those....I didn't buy anything because it was mostly rubbish...just Christmas gifts etc...

Aww I like Debenhams! I went in yesterday to spend £40 worth of vouchers I got for Christmas. Will definitely go in again towards the end of the month for some bargains!
