Long black the espresso shot goes into the hot water, Americano the espresso goes in first then hot water. It sounds silly but the taste is different.

A long black is made by pouring a double-shot of espresso or ristretto over hot water (usually the water is also heated by the espresso machine). A long black is similar to an Americano, which is made by adding hot water to the espresso shot; but a long black retains the crema and is less voluminous, therefore more strongly flavoured.

Tesco's instant gold.
Coffee, coffee cream and milk in before the water.
Hubby likes a few different blended coffees, he is into cherry and chocolate flavour filter at the minute.

I love asking for it in Bristol. They look at me all confused and I have to explain to them what it is. One girl tried to tell me there was no difference (cheeky bitch) and I pulled out the whole "I used to be a Barista sweetheart and there is a difference, maybe you should learn about your job" card.

I've never got too heavily into flavoured coffees. I did quite like the ginger bread one in small doses but other than that I find them foul tasting.

Frappucchino isn't coffee is it?
I like latte, I just put a spoonful of nescafe gold blend in boiled semi skimmed milk and sprinkle a little brown sugar on top.
Mostly drink black tea though.

I used to drink decaff, untill I watched a prog explaining how they isolate the caffeine!
It uses this toxic chemical, I'll take my chances with the caffeine thanks

Well, caffeine might be naturally occurring, but it's a drug too. I prefer to have as little as possible. so many things are rinsed by solvents or have a dodgy process of creation, if I worried about all of them I would even be paranoid about drinking water. :joker:
