PC Keith Wallis sent an email falsely claiming he witnessed the incident

http://news.sky.com/story/1193140/plebgate-police-officer-admits-misconduct

[Following the incident Wallis, a member of the
Metropolitan Police Diplomatic Protection Group,
sent an email to the deputy chief whip John Randall,
who was his MP, saying he had been
sightseeing in the capital when he saw the row.
Wallis sent the email from a private address but it
was quickly established that he was a serving officer
and that he was not present at the gates of
Downing Street during the incident.]

That copper wasn't there, he lied having about that and he lied that he heard Andrew Mitchell MP use the word "pleb". However, Andrew Mitchell, who is a horrible arse of a man, rude, surly and one of the "Don't you know who I am?" brigade, admits to swearing and using foul language to the police officers.

[PM David Cameron has branded the actions of police officer Keith Wallis,
who admitted lying about the Plebgate affair, as "unacceptable"
as Andrew Mitchell said he is pleased that "justice has been done" ]

Andrew Mitchell though gave up his post and that is a really bad thing that some MP has been the victim of this completly unprofessional conduct by this Policeman.
I am glad Andrew Mitchell has at long last had this cloud removed from him.
He actually, in my view, warrants a fair few apologies, not only from the Police but the media too and even moreso especially from some very ungracious MP colleagues too.

Andrew Mitchell doesn't know the word 'gracious' joey. And had he not sworn at the cops initially, none of this would have happened.

And furthermore Cameron has bigger fish to fry. If he's thinking about apologies and who should be handing them out, I suggest he has a long, hard think about who should be apologising for what.

You will have greater knowledge of Andrew Mitchell than myself so I bow to your knowledge and opinion on this matter Livia.

The lies of this policemen caused a cabinet Minister to lose his cabinet post and have his reputation dragged through the mud. It is shocking to see such a cover up by the Police at all levels and I only hope now that the truth has finally come out the policemen responsible for this should named shamed and sacked from the Police service with immediate effect.

The cabinet Minister should be brought into Govt, if he agrees but bearing in mind the lack of support he received from his colleagues he may think twice about returning to Govt.
