He seemed to get a lot of cheers tonight, and was the one with the most votes.

I never thought he had a chance, but I'm not sure now.

What do you think?

He is good guy better than most in there.

Too early to say,He still has time to put his foot in it,It does'nt help with that awful old battle axe picking at everything he says either.

I really hope not, I'd rather boring Sam wins than Jim

As it stands I would have no problem with him winning. He is coming across well unlike backstabbing Lionel.

He'll say something totally inappropriate somewhere down the line but so far he's surprising me. He's one of my faves.

I hope so as I have £25 on him at big big odds.

Yes and this is how I reckon the show will pan out now Evander is gone.

1st place - Jim
2nd place - Ollie
3rd place - Jasmine
4th place - Lee
5th place - Sam
6th place - Casey
7th place - Linda
8th place - Luisa
9th place - Dappy
10th place - Lionel
11th place - Liz

And that's saying something considering his had a past history of domestic abuse.:joker:

It's really weird, isn't it? Who would have thought that Jim would be one of the few housemates to not have done something actively horrible after a week in the house and that he would look quite good in the BB house? It's so hard to tell... in series gone by, you could gauge who the public hated and so who would go in an eviction, it was very rare for an eviction to be a surprise... and then by the time you got to the end you could tell who would win because the housemates left would be a combination of likeable and/or boring; or in with the right crowd thus avoiding being up for eviction.

Now, it's Vote To Save, so we can only really tell if someone's popular if they survive multiple evictions... I think his chances are better than about half of the remaining housemates, but I wouldn't bet money on him winning at this stage.

I sincerely hope he doesn't win. Wife beaters aren't my fav people.

No chance. It will be Ollie, not saying he is my favourite, but it's just blatantly obvious he is a big favourite.

Also feel Lee Ryan could possibly turn it all around.

Mystic Mock

Lee will get to the final but no winner as ever been this unpopular on any BB before.

11-01-2014, 01:20 AM
I'd say Ollie and Sam are likely to be in the final by virtue of not being arseholes. Jim could sneak in there. Casey could get there if she keeps the public on side with the woman scorned thing. Dappy possibly... how many finalists are we expecting?

Jords

I voted 'dunno' but my more precise answer is 'unlikely' with Ollie and Sam in the house.

I've gotta say, if Ollie or Sam win this, this has to be the easiest money they've ever earned, and these are people who are paid to be themselves on TV for a living. They'll win Big Brother for not being anything on TV!

On CBB I think they do 5 to 6 finalists.

At this stage then I'd reckon Ollie and Sam are surefire bets, Dappy, Jim and Casey are likely to be the ones making up numbers and if there's a sixth finalist then maybe Lionel

..yeah, I think he probably could, which I guess that I don't understand how a self-confessed 'wife beater' could be a favourite and seen as a better person over people using crude language or whatever..

lol @ the "he hasn't done anything bad in the house" argument... yeah, only suggested all of the females shouldn't have opinions and sound like the Loose Women panel. He's a misogynist. He always has been and always will. Shame on anyone who supports him.

I didn't pick it up quite like that will have too look at it again to see if your interpretation is correct. And as for shame nope not feeling any.

..I guess that I felt similarly about Paddy and stuff that he had done in the past..there are just some things/aspects of people's character that I find it very difficult to get beyond and I don't know if I'm right in feeling that because if he is a 'changed man' then that's a good thing but I guess we just can't help how we feel about certain things and our personal associations with those characteristics....

The past is the past and IF JIM WAS A TYRANT, he is no more bad than anyone else as we should not pre judge if someone has made an effort to right his wrongs. Too many people are quick to judge people and hang a noose around their neck for past and prior bad acts. We all have skeletons and in Jims case, he seems to have a big mouth and is opinionated in matters that most keep to themselves.

Last time I looked, he was liked and funny, so for me, that's good enough. I am judging what I see, not what I hear from an age gone by. If this was the case, Dappy and Liz should be toast as their past is worse than Jims.

How is Liz's past worst than Jim's? Is writing about somebody in a paper worse then beating a woman, or have I missed something which she has done?

..I don't have any issues about Jim in respect of his views or opinions on anything, neither did I have with Evander ..I don't share them, but those are their opinions and beliefs etc...but hitting females is not about an 'opinion or view' and that's why I have always found him despicable as a person...however, I also respect that other people are only judging on behaviour in the house and that's entirely up to them as well...and I haven't hung a noose around anyone's neck in that I've only occasionally made comment about him and respected that other people don't feel the same...

Like you said Mocky 'past' history,we only go by what we read and maybe he has turned his life around,I would bet they all have skeletons in their closets ,just Jims has fell out:hugesmile:

I dislike him but he's surprised me with the way he's acted in the house. He hasn't done anything yet that has warranted me to say that he's a bad person.

However, from stuff that has happened in the past I would be a bit miffed if he ended up winning. But with that being said I really do think he has a good chance.

I did think that he was playing a good game at the beginning, but that facade seems to be slipping a bit lately. We'll be seeing the real Jim very soon I reckon.

Not a bad contender but I've a feeling the likes of Ollie will beat him to it.

Still a first-degree wanker.

It says something about this years line up when Jim is considered one of the best ones in there! :joker:

I had an opinion of him before he went in there, but from how he has been in the house I have warmed to him & he is one of my favourites...

Some of us should be a little less like Linda Nolan & not hate on him for his past sins but judge him on how he is INSIDE the house

I appreciate all the comments about Jim's notoriety but the way I see it...

We could sit and research all of the housemates and judge them for what we think we know about them before we watch them in the house. Jim's a wife beater, Dappy's violent, Jasmine's a home wrecker etc etc etc... or we can judge them on what we see in the Big Brother house, because we're watching them on Big Brother. That's what I choose to do. Ultimately it's not going to change the fact Jim has confessed to being a wife beater. It's just interesting to see how he acts around other people, to gain a greater understanding of him (and all the other housemates) as opposed to accepting printed word reports of what he's like.

..I agree that it is interesting to see how Jim interacts with the others in the BB house but I think the difference with CBB is that we do all know something about the housemates before they go in and initially, we can't help being influenced by that to the extent that we all have opinions about them entering the house etc..'oh no, not her..she's an idiot..'..?...etc and just about all of us do that...I really didn't think that I would like Charlotte Crosby from the little bits I knew about her, but I actually found her quite endearing, because in the house you get to see them interact etc and in a slightly different environment..?..but when you do have strong opinions about someone and what they have done, then you do have to see something in them in the house that would change that opinion..?...and I haven't seen anything from Jim that would do that...if I did, then I would look at it objectively, believe me...

I think he could win it! In fact I hope he does.. And this is from someone who said they wouldn't even watch if he went in!
