View Full Version : Luisa being accused of starting every argument

Obviously tonight has been a very "Luisa"-centric episode, but I think it's unfair of some of the housemates to claim she's starting all of these arguments. Apart from the one between her and Dappy (which was pretty two-sided), it seemed to me like Lionel & Jim were the ones arguing. Lionel brought up what Luisa said about old people, and as she was explaining what she meant, Jim butted in saying she was arguing again.
Although Luisa can be gobby and confrontational, I think it was pretty reasonable of her to try to explain that she didn't mean to upset Lionel. Wondering whether the housemates have pegged her as the "house villain" after hearing her being booed, so feel entitled to blame her for any disharmony?
Welcome to the forum.
I think it's because she doesn't think before she opens her mouth and ends up offending someone that then starts the ball rolling for an argument.

Welcome the forum Jessica.
I agree, but I think what she said about Lionel was rude, even if she didn't mean it, but yeah she wasn't arguing with Lionel, Jim just wanted to add fuel to the fire.
Dappy/Evender started the first agraument
Jim started the 2nd agraument

She was clearly joking outside, as both she & Lionel were laughing. Once Lionel heard her booes he thought it would be a good opportunity too attack her & lie. Lionel is awful.

Thank you! :)
Yes I do agree she speaks before she thinks.. but I don't think that's synonymous to starting arguments, especially in this case. I can understand why Lionel might have been offended by her comment but I really don't think she meant it with any malice nor to start an argument.
I imagine in the next few days we'll see a lot of Luisa hate in the house after the boos

No, Jim tried to put out the fire.

Luisa was laughing and hugging Dappy when they were having their debate and she only got angry when she had an audience around her and thought he couldn't hear originally...Works both ways.

I think she maybe could have diffused that argument by just saying sorry if she offended Lionel.I do kinda agree though that Lionel and Jim were maybe spoiling to have a pop at her.Oh and welcome :D

I don't think there was a fire to put out! Surely it's reasonable of her to try to explain she meant no harm? Better than ignoring the fact that she upset him
Luisa was the one who brought up her comment she made to Lionel though. She is the one starting all the arguments.

Completely forgot about that.
LUisa was quite cool with Dappy's views at first. I wonder what changed her attitude?

Well spotted. He did laugh along when she initially joked about it.
I just didn't realise when he switched.... After the boo's.

Jim was thinking an argument was going to explode again as Lionel was offended so he was trying to stop her from digging her own grave.

Exactly! I'm not sure whether he thinks arguing with her will gain him more support, or whether he just feels it won't be detrimental to him to argue with the most hated housemate, but it did seem like the boos spurred him on
I don't think the boos spurred him on, I think his laugh when she said it out in the garden was a polite one, he didn't find her comment funny then and he wasn't going to bring it up until she brought it up to try and show that that's just her sense of humour - he was offended that she thought calling him an OAP was funny because it hurt his feelings, so he told her how he felt and she couldn't accept any kind of responsibility. She didn't say the word sorry to him. She just burst into tears because people were mad at her. That isn't an apology.

That is true. I doubt she says "sorry" very often!
And she's constantly saying how she doesn't care what people think of her or if they don't like her etc. but has cried twice in one night because of what people thought of her. Not sure whether there's a little false confidence there, or whether she just can't stand not getting her own way.

I think both. I think she has self esteem issues and she's just faking it until she makes it. I think Dappy's comments got to her because she's not really proud of her sexploits and Lionel having a go at her got to her because she's not really okay with people always disliking her. She seems deeply insecure to me.

I am neither here or there as to Luisa,I don't particularly care for her and even less so as a housemate.
I think she had valid points in her argument with Dappy and although she was worng in my view to mention his Mother, he went a bit too far as well.
I think Lionel smiles when people say things that upset him and I did find her comments on older people rather rude to say the least
She does need to think before she speaks and actually I also see her as a bit of a troublemaker at times too.
She did stand up to Evander on his odd take on being gay so she does have some redeeming things about her however.

12.11am: Lee and Jasmine are whispering intently. Jim's trying to sleep in the living area. He's a bit miffed about all the noise
Jim thinks it's his house .Tells Luisa to shut it and now he doesn't like the noise .

Yeah I think "fake it til you make it" captures Luisa pretty well. She seems to wear her sexploits like peacock feathers the number of times she's brought them up so far, but I think you're right that somewhere inside she isn't proud of it.
It's a shame though, really. As far as I'm aware she's a pretty successful business woman. She shouldn't need to rely on her sexuality to give her confidence

It all happened after the boo's...

Ooo I do hope Jim's mask is slipping. People seem to be quite fond of him, and I must admit he's been growing on me too, but I have a bad feeling about him..

She was clearly laughing and joking in the Garden, but at the table Lionel and Jim joined forces to 'make her feel bad' and it worked. She knew their behaviour was a Lie but had no way to prove it or defend herself against high status males. Jim in effect apologised by confessing that he hated women.
