Is Big Brother sexist?

Why is it that bb warn hms for racist comments/behaviour that may cause offence and homophobic comments/behaviour that may cause offence but do not to the same for sexist comments/behaviour that may cause offence. Do they not value their female audience and do they not think their feelings matter too? Many hms have demonstrated sexist behaviour and made sexist comments, Dappy's being particularly blatant and offensive - and not one word from Big Brother. Personally, I find that disgusting in 2014. When are people going to do something about this double standard from BB?

Half the staff on the show must be female, so why are such antiquated, offensive sexist comments treated differently to racist and homophobic ones by BB.

Evander was reprimanded for offensive homophobic comments but nothing was said to him about his sexist ones. Frequent double standards from BB.

Thank you Cherie. It is about time BB took the view of it's female audience as seriously as those of its male and gay audience. I really am quite gobsmacked at the blatancy of this double standard towards their female audience.

You do make a good point there, after all we should sort of just be watching in on a group of people and what they say and do.
If they are to be controlled as to what to say then we will not see what they are really like.
Were we looking into a house, listening to all they sid, if anything that was offensive was said, we couldn't demand a warning be given.

Of course a few rules are needed to curb any threats to safety of the housemates if there are consequences from the heated conversations or debate.
Really though what we see and hear is often nowhere near as bad as what we could overhear at times on public transport or in other public areas.

I think OP is saying that it's sexist to warn Evander about his homophobic remarks when Dappy gets nothing. I agree though, they shouldn't have warnings in the first place, let them self-destruct.
