Do you think that their vote for the person who they are dicussing about nominating being retracted, and a vote for themselves being put in place, would be a good idea? Or do you feel that more lighter, even sometimes silly punishments, do the job?
No I don't like the stupid punishments they dish out, they are often pointless and childish.
Think your onto a good idea there or just ban them from nominating for the week.

So like, for example
'The housemates up for nomination are... Kate.. and.. Joe.. and.. Josy'
'However. Yesterday, at 7:47PM, Sarah said the following about Kate'
'Blah blah blah something about how Kate's a bitch and how Sarah is telling somebody else that she's going to put her up for nomination'
'Therefore, Sarah's nomination against Kate is now void and Sarah will take her place in this weeks eviction' or 'will join Kate, Joe and Josy in this weeks eviction' or something?
Perhaps not all of the time, just an occasional occurrence which would remind housemates not to discuss nominations?

Their votes should be taken away. Simple as.
BB8 was a good example of this, when Charley & Billi had their nominations removed AFTER they had nominated because they discussed who they had just voted for. BB read out the housemates with the most votes and then said that Billi and Charley's votes were to be removed, and then they read out the final nominees (excluding the votes taken away).
Kate!

(And that Sarah's a right ***** you know, I heard her telling Rupert she'd like to nibble on his sausage and she wasn't talking hotdogs )

Yeah, they'll spend one 1 hour in jail.
Or have to listen to Lionel talk about dancing with Sammy Davis Jr.
