View Full Version : How do the fees work?

Do they get their fees upfront/paid when they leave? Or do they get more the longer they stay in? If they do get their fee no matter what, what's the motivation to want to stay in longer/win?

I know Strictly pay their celebrities everytime they stay in a week..

They don't get their fees if they leave I don't think, all have a set fee before they go in.

Yes because if they walk
the money goes down fast.

So Its Correct to Pay them after the gig

Dont think they get more money the longer they stay in, though presumably they wouldn't get the full fee if they walked really early or something. With CBB I guess a lot of them are quite washed up celebs hoping they might revive their careers somehow or change the public perception of them or whatever, so they would be motivated to come across well or hopefully win. Even thise who dont really need that will just look to not do any major damage to their reputation so will still try avoid doing anything that'll get them disliked and evicted

I'd just be a twat and try and get evicted as soon as I can in that case, easy money

I guess alot of people take it seriously because they want to be perceived well to the public I guess, but there isn't really any motivation if there's not a prize at the end, kind of makes it pointless

Maybe a prize at the end that could go to charity or something

They're paid when they leave I believe, and the fee can take a cut if they walk, I'm sure that'll be written into the contract that they'll only be paid the agreed amount if they are evicted via the regular, non-voluntary methods.

No increase the longer they stay so really there's no motivation for them to win or whatever other than the fact I guess more exposure is better for your career, or the fact that perhaps some of them might actually end up enjoying the experience. That's why when John McCririck went in making it clear he was only doing so for the money he made it his mission to piss everyone off, be nominated and then piss the public off so they'd vote him out. And all parties fell for it, sadly (because it was great TV). That plan would probably fail now with vote to save.

..yeah, maybe when Vanessa had a 'breakdown' and a few of the celebrities didn't come out of it looking great, they had to start paying celebrities to go in there..?...

Imagine if they did say, up your fee by 10k every time you avoided eviction though
