Day 11: Task - Democracy
Today, the housemates awoke to discover that all the food and drink in the house had been removed, and that a large, shiny device with eleven seats had appeared in the living room. Most were surprised and intrigued, while Jim went back to bed and drank a beer that he had found next to his bed.
Of course, the device and the food - or lack of it - are both tied in to today's shopping task. Today, the house will be a democracy; at each stage of the task, Big Brother will present the housemates with a question that they can vote on anonymously.
For example, the first question posed was "Would Housemates prefer to live on bland grey slop or hot spicy curry?". After a vote, the housemates opted for the slop - much to the annoyance of some of the group - and so they'll be living off it for the rest of the day. Ollie deemed it "edible," though Sam thinks it needs a little sugar.
Stay posted to see how this develops - we predict it'll be gruel-ling.

Day 11: Task - Ever wondered what it's like to watch paint dry?
After some brave attempts to eat the "bland grey slop" - described by Sam as "minging porridge" and Ollie as having the "je ne sais quoi of old foot" - the housemates were called back to the hub to vote on the next question. Much to their combined horror and delight, the question was "Who is the Most Boring Housemate?"
After a round of voting, Linda was announced as the unfortunate "winner." Her prize: to have a bucket of paint poured over her head and then stand in front of a mirror and watch it dry, to emulate the experience that she's allegedly been forcing viewers to endure.
Do you agree with the democratic decision of the housemates? Is watching Linda really as bad as all that?
Kate!

Yeah. She's done nothing but moan at Jim. That I've seen anyway.

The Celebrity Big Brother 2014 housemates have been given their latest shopping task.
A large, round hub is set up in the Living Area containing a wireless voting keypad for each Housemate. Big Brother announces that over the next two days, Housemates will use these keypads to run their own Democracy and will control all aspects of life in the house through group votes. These votes are completely anonymous, and Housemates will be strictly told that they are not allowed to discuss with each other how they have voted. Sporadically, a siren will sound throughout the house giving the Housemates one minute to take their place at the voting pads. They are told that in order to pass this week’s shopping task they must vote on any dilemma presented to them, and abide by the outcome of their majority vote.
The votes which Housemates are making will include dilemmas which will affect their time living in the house; they must select which Housemate has the right attributes to complete the tasks. However, only Jim’s voting pad is actually working, and he will become the Decider, secretly controlling the outcome of the vote throughout the task. Jim is forbidden to share his secret role with any of his fellow Housemates at any point, and his role must remain concealed. At the end of the task, it will be revealed that one Housemate was secretly controlling all the votes and in one final vote, everyone must guess who this was. If Jim is discovered, he will fail the shopping task for the group. Remain hidden, and he’ll pass.
DAY 1 (MONDAY) Housemates will wake up to discover the large voting hub featuring a seat and voting keypad for each of them in the Living Area. The decisions on Day 1 will be:
- Would Housemates prefer to live on bland grey slop or hot spicy curry? As all food will be removed from the house prior to the task starting, Housemates will live only on tins of either slop or curry (depending on the vote result) which will be delivered to them every mealtime.
- Who is the Most Boring Housemate? The most boring Housemate, as decided by the democracy, will be getting a taste of their own medicine. A painter will enter the house and then tip a bucket of paint over the chosen Housemate. They must then stand still and watch the paint dry to understand what they have been putting the viewers through. They are not allowed to move or communicate with any of their fellow Housemates until the paint is dry.
- Which Housemate deserves a reminder from home? The chosen Housemate will be given a reminder from home in the Diary Room.
- Would Housemates rather give up cigarettes or beauty products? All the chosen products must be placed in a bucket and will be immediately removed from the house.
- Who would Housemates like to nominate? The results of the week’s nominations will have already been revealed to the house, but they will now be given a chance to add one to their number. The nominated Housemate will not really face the public vote – but until the end of the task they will believe that they have been put up by their fellow Housemates.
- Who are the two most Annoying Housemates? Two Housemates will be voted as the two most annoying Housemates. They will get a taste of their own medicine, spending the rest of the night in the Most Annoying Room in the World. The Most Annoying Room in the World is located in the Large Task Room and includes the following:
· An insanely uncomfortable bed for two, a wall of alarm clocks which go off sporadically, a giant hand that runs nails down a blackboard
· Chairs which are impossible to sit on due to being wonky or far too small
· Laky pipes which squirt water
· A phone which is plagued by prank calls
· A locked lunchbox which is complete with huge bunch of keys and when they opened it
reveals content is vacuumed packed Housemates only have useless kids’ scissors to open the packaging.
· A giant locked cage full of luxury items including a comfy bed. The key is on the
opposite wall on a heavy knotted chain which can be undone (with great difficulty) – only to discover it’s a couple of inches too short and the key still won’t reach the lock.

Today's mammoth shopping task has been surging forward, and tensions in the House are high.
For round 2, the housemates had to make a huge, earth shaking decision, that you may well have felt as it rocked the earth to its very core: would they rather give up cigarettes or beauty products?
The vote eventually edged in favour of giving up beauty products - possibly in the hope of keeping some of the more tense housemates peaceful - and everyone's makeup, hair gel, cocoa butter and whatever-it-is-that-Ollie-has-in-his-bag all went into a box to be removed from the house for the rest of the day.
Later, the significantly-less-made-up housemates returned to the hub to decide who among them was most deserving of a message from home.
The vote went to Dappy, and ever since his visit to the Diary Room he's been quiet and contemplative.
There are stirrings of dissent, however. Both Lionel and Luisa are convinced that the game is rigged. What do you think?

If there’s one thing guaranteed to upset our housemates, it’s taking their food and drink away. But Big Brother is a tough taskmaster, and did exactly that.
To win their food back, they were invited to sit on a futuristic game show set and answer a series of questions. Big Brother would, in each case, go with the majority decision. This started badly, with the housemates choosing tasteless slop over hot spicy curry.
Things went from bad to worse for Linda, who was voted Most Boring Housemate and punished by being covered in paint and told to watch it dry.
The bad news wasn’t exclusively for Linda, however. Lee was told he was up for eviction, but that wasn’t true. He wasn’t impressed, either way. In between all this, the housemates had to vote for their dinner: Thai takeaway or pizza. They plumped for Thai, and the resulting meal was described by several housemates as the greatest meal ever. Not like celebrities to go in for such hyperbole...
Later in the evening, the housemates were asked to vote for the Most Annoying Housemates. The winners, or should that be losers, were Luisa and Lionel, who were sent to spend the night in The Most Annoying Room In The World. The chairs are too small, the tables are wobbly, and there are a disturbing number of alarm clocks.
There was, of course, a twist. This wasn’t a democracy at all. The only housemate’s votes who were being counted were Jim’s. He knew this, but the others didn’t and occasionally he had to throw them off the scent.
But that did at least explain why two people who had nominated him for eviction had been voted Most Annoying, and Jim’s arch-nemesis Linda had been voted Most Boring. It always makes sense eventually.

Day 12: Luisa the lifer
Our celebrities are under lock and key from launch night until the point of eviction, but sometimes BB feels the need to lock 'em up again. Double clink.
Can you guess which of our housemates has spent the most time locked up within this particular CBB House?
We bet you can and, if you can't, it's Luisa Zissman. Admittedly her first stint in captivity came when she wasabducted by alien lifeforms and trapped in the UFO, so that one was less her fault and more the result of cosmic interference. Since then, however, her time spent under lock and key has largely been a result of her actions.
Only last night, Luisa was made to sleep in the Most Annoying Room In The World with Lionel after a democratic decision was cast by her fellow HMs. To be fair, Jim's vote was the only one that counted in this rigged election, but she doesn't need to know that... yet.
Her misery continues this morning as, after another non-democratic decision was made, Luisa was voted into jail. Once again, Jim was silent judge and jury. Luisa came close to working out that the whole thing was unfair, but HMs will be grateful she didn't get to the bottom of the whole ruse. If she had, she might've jeopardised the whole shopping task. Big Brother may not look upon her detective work so kindly, mind you – we're going to have to wait and see on that one.
