For me the difference between tea(meal) and dinner is that tea is a much lighter meal.

..for me tea as a meal would be something like sandwiches/cakes etc and if it's a hot meal it would be dinner...I think also it's a bit of a regional thing and some people call their evening meal tea and some call it dinner....

I have breakfast at 12-1pm (wake up at 10amish) lunch at 4pm and dinner at 8pm, that's how people in my culture do it and it keeps you full throughout the day and helps stop you from snacking. No need for 'brunch' or 'supper'. I honestly couldn't imagine having my last meal at 4/5ish... that's like 6 hours of not eating anything substantial for the rest of the night :umm2:

but on school days I eat breakfast at 7am/lunch at midday/snack or something small when I come home/dinner at eight

I say lunch but at school if I was having hot food from the canteen then that was a school dinner but if I was bringing my own lunch then that was a packed lunch... neither of which mattered when we were 14 (third year) because then we were allowed out into town for lunch :amazed:

Your tea is your meal at night, its also a beverage that should not be drunk after 4pm
