View Full Version : Ollie Is he just a pretty face?

Ollie is too quiet, never seems to have any opinions on anything or even feature in the highlights much, is this the real him? I honestly don't know because I have never watched the show he is in.

Contribution-wise, he sadly hasn't done much

I think Ollie is one of those nicer housemates who begin to shine when the numbers in the house start to dwindle, because the egos like Lee tend to dominate to start with.

I am much the same Josy.
Never heard of him before but he is my favourite from the bit I have seen.
Shame the triangle has taken over the show..and then the arguments.
But makes for good entertainment.

If I was Ollie, I'd be so frustrated when I left the house and saw so many comments claiming he's too boring and quiet! I always think that when we do see the odd clip of him in the highlights or on BOTS he's naturally quite entertaining and makes me laugh even when doing something of nothing, and (as everyone keeps saying) is just being overshadowed by big characters and their storylines.

If hypothetically they had to edit an episode which doesn't involve arguing, bitching or love stories, I reckon it'd be characters like Ollie and Sam who would be seen having fun without the need for dramas!

He's okay, I never heard of him before and thought he would be quite entertaining when he entered, he gets overshadowed by nearly everyone else though, bar Sam.

It's really odd. MIC was practically him.. and Spencer, when he left the show weakened dramatically.. he's just been overshadowed, but he's still my favourite and I think the final week will turn into the Ollie show, Luisa and Jasmine won't be there.

From what I know of Made In Chelsea he's a bit of a background character who doesn't seem to have much to do with the "main" stories on that either; his stories are almost a relief from all the heavy drama because it's just him fretting about whether or not he likes women and a bunch of girls with names like Pansy and Flora with big blonde hair and who do a lot of yoga telling him to relax. Seems like a genuine, harmless guy - perhaps he and Sam are so used to being filmed for their "real" reactions to things that they know how to play the Big Brother game far better than any of the other housemates. I don't think they're being fake, but they know how to avoid showing off their negative sides (if they have any, I don't know)... possible theory!

This is a really interesting and good post, well said and I agree 100% with all you say.

He is not the fav because of what he is doing right, its because of what he isn't doing wrong. In fact he isn't doing anything so how can you dislike a manikin.

He is doing a Rachael Rice but the girls wont let him go unnoticed as soon as they get wind he is liked on the outside. The knives will be out and he will cave in and show how dull and uninteresting he is. He is like a rabbit caught in headlights and if he likes Sam, well that sums him up totally. Can you imagine a night in with those 2, OMG we would all be going home at 9pm with rescue calls at the ready.

I feel that Ollie isn't being shown because his a threat to Jim to win.

But I have got to be honest even when he has been shown he really hammers it up, I can't take it lol.

Like Sam, he only seems dull due to being locked in a house full of nutters.

I think he just hasn't been shown much because of overshadowing storylines. the love triangle and he hasn't been involved in any arguments. which is a shame because when he does get airtime he's brilliant. I love his personality and I still believe he'll win .

Ollie will shine when the 'good' HM's are history.

He reminds me of a small childs fuzzy blanket that has been dropped in a pond and then hung up on a washing line in thick fog

But will he? What if we get rid of some of the louder housemates and we discover that Ollie hasn't had any screen time because he's dull and has nothing of interest to say?

Ollie seems like a really nice guy but he sucks overall for the show.

The guy has no substance to him, he has no personality He is a air thief .
Seems like just a material based posh boy to me. who wanders through life,

people only like him here cause of his looks. otherwise you;d all be calling him a boring posh turd lol

...I've seen him in Made in Chelsea and he is quite similar, although he does obviously get set airtime/storyline etc so he is more entertaining in that and can be quite funny but he just hasn't really done much in BB or hasn't been given the airtime, so I think he has been just a very pretty face...

I actually think that when he gets airtime he's great. For example I don't think that the 18+ room would have been near as entertaining if it wasn't for Ollie's commentary alongside all the rude stuff. Also Ollie's comment last night about bring surprised that Luisa had a bad gag reflex was one of the best lines of the series.

He is quite boring and promised us much more, but he's really nice and I think at least one "nice" one is needed in that house. Sam can go tho

I'd honestly rather see the "nice" ones go because it's far more entertaining watching all these conceited horrible people try and act like they're above everyone else in the house.
