Luisa just said this on live feed while she had the lamp shade on her head. Imagine if Jim had said this what would we all think?

No, I heard her but these posts keep appearing...what if Jim said it? What if Luisa said it? They are just so pointless and lead to nothing but arguments.

Potato... LOL...
I thought it was a daft thing for her to say, she used the term as an insult. It's like when people say "Oh that's so gay" when they mean it's stupid. Ridiculous woman.

Nothing of it, after all it's not like the lesbian is being called a puff or fag or whatever other homophobic term you can use.

There's nothing wrong with that comment it's clearly meant as a joke. But yes we would go up in arms if Jim said it because he has a history of actual bigotry, therefore there is more chance of it being a true expression of his feelings and being meant in a nasty way. That isn't the case with Luisa though, there is absolutely nothing that implies she's homophobic (in fact she was defending homosexuality to Evander). Now stop with the desperation.

To be honest this is a very nit picky thread. Being homophobic and making certain comments arent as black and white as people think. Luisa was obviously joking and has history of sleeping with women so....

Also Girth you're not really in a position to make a thread implying some of us blindly support housemates and ignore their actions when you support people based on whether they're attractive or not

My fave in last CBB was Ron Atkinson , before that Razor Ruddock but if you think you see a pattern in my fave then you keep analyzing.

So it's a joke when Luisa says it but bigotry if Jim says it. :joker:
A game of double standards anyone.?
The fact that Luisa thinks a woman with a deep voice must be a lesbian is bigotry in itself...surely? :conf:

Yes. You just reiterated what Salman said.
I know that this is an OTT example, but if a known murderer made a joke like "man, I really just wanna kill that guy" and Emma Willis made the same joke, the reactions would be totally different. Yes, it is double standards, but there's obviously a reason for it.

..I didn't see the livefeed or hear the comment but I'm presuming that Luisa is referring to a BB voice..?...I think the thing is though in all fairness that it doesn't matter who said it or what their history is because you have to isolate comments and judge each one as whether you think something is said as a joke or whether you feel there was any spite in it or whether it came from a place of bigotry and that has to apply to everyone..yeah, Jim has been very bigoted but if were a 'changed man' then he would be allowed the same 'jokes' as other people, I'm not convinced that he is a changed person but that's another thing..something can't be right for one person and not for another...just because we personally like or dislike someone, I think it's also important to be fair...

I honestly don't really care tbh,I think people are very over sensitive and complain about things way too much.Just don't moan if Jim or anyone makes similar comments,Same standards for everyone imo.
