Louise actually had a great and very rare story in BB12, but of course the editing is garbage and it takes too much focus and attention to detail to notice (this isn't a dig at you, just a statement of how bad BB12 is)

She started off as someone frigid who didn't date or drink and she never felt like she could let herself go because she had to maintain her image as the perfect model. She's someone who values romance and chivalry but was left with shallow and fake suitors, it was too tedious a life for her. But while on BB she was able to explore herself and find what she really wants in life. She started to let people in, drink more, get involved with the social dynamics around her, and let things happen for her. She came into her own person and realize that it's okay to voice your opinions and have a personality, very comparable to Shell in BB5. The only problem is that the vast majority of Louise's airtime was dedicated to the showmance so we were left to piece together her background comments here and there.

Arguing with Jade over a verruca and ending it by saying "I'll ****ing deck her" and exiting the bedroom was just pure perfection. I have no idea why she was evicted by so many votes and why she got an awful crowd reaction.

TBH she's up there with the Makosi's and Charley's IMO. She played quite similar to Makosi in the sense that she manipulated everyone without anyone really noticing, and was the last person to receive a nomination out of the whole cast (minus Tim).

I love Scott (BB13) and it still baffles me how people never rate him. In between the constant bitching and nastiness in the series it'd occasionally just switch to Scott being a camp hilarious mess which IMO was MUCH needed for the series. While on the subject of BB13 I think Ashleigh had a pretty endearing storyline. She was obviously very insecure and her (albeit hilarious) relationship with Luke S kinda made me feel bad for her and root for her.

Roberto and his psychotic control over the kitchen and general ability to start an argument over anything is definitely an overlooked aspect of early BB6 tbh. He's kooky as **** as well which just made his responses in arguments all the more ridiculous and funny.

Belinda was absolutely hilarious and it broke my heart when she was evicted (especially to boos which is the oddest reaction ever cos she really wasn't offensive?) Creating sleep deprived housemates for the week due to her snoring was phenomenal, I mean imagine if she was there for the whole series just scatting around while everyone else is trying to hold their **** together. Her reaction to doing like 2 minutes of cycling as well describing it as worse than childbirth <3

Everyone loves Lisa BB9 but tbh she should be a staple icon of the franchise.

Overrated housemates? I'd definitely say Dexter. He managed to be a "talking point" for almost an entire series without really... doing anything? He just kind of talked himself up and never really delivered IMO. Freddie was ****ing insufferable with his constant talk of everyone having gameplans (especially saying David had a game plan by becoming friends with Lisa... yeah aligning with the most hated housemate outside is a top strategy...) Benedict is a horribly overrated early boot who did nothing for a week, then decided to be overly condescending to anyone who disliked his views and "sorry about the curry" is such a spineless dickhead way to go out. I think if he was on the other side of the house he would've been hated.

I agree with pretty much everything LJ said! I don't really care much about Scott either way but calling Arron a Who from Whoville is a lifetime highlight. Agree wholeheartedly with everything else, especially Dexter doing nothing and Freddie being the biggest hypocrite in terms of having gameplans (accusing everyone else of having them even though he has the biggest one, is there any worse type of person than that?) And I still like Benedict but I certainly don't love him or think he's a bloody legend like some people think.

The obvious answers for underrated are Vanetha, Susie, and Hira and I've waxed enough poetic about each of them that I think people are finally starting to catch on? Yay me. Caggy and Penny don't get enough love for early BBUK characters, and Lisa Jeynes deserves all the love in the world even though it was BB4. I don't know what the forum's opinion on non-Charley BB8 people are but Laura and Kara-Louise and Tracey are forgotten gems. Lisa and David get far too much hate in terms of BB10 and are so damn cute together <3 Alex and Jem don't get enough love for BB12 either and neither does Charlie for BB14 I'll end it there.

As for overrated... I know people are fond of Brian as a host but I didn't really care for him as a HM either. He's only moderately funny and his Only Gay In The Village attitude isn't a cute look (see: Newman, Richard.) Alison and Kate are nothing like people make them out to be in BB3 and for BB4 Ray is a nothing, don't know why people act like he was a big character. Grace is nothing like people make her out to be for BB7 along with Rex for BB9. With my recent BB10 rewatch almost coming to a complete I can confirm that Marcus is ridiculously overrated. Sitting in the corner and calling everyone wankers in a desperate attempt to be a badass isn't a good character and holy **** he was way too creepy about the Noirin thing. Aaron is obviously the answer for overrated BB12 people but almost anyone with any sort of fanbase can be classified as overrated can't they?

Overrated: Aisleyne. The ghetto thing she did was pure cringe for me, don't really remember anything memorable she did apart from a few big arguments.

I would also argue that whilst she finished higher than Nikki in the show, the majority of the public would consider Nikki the more memorable housemate, but understand there will obviously be an opposing argument.

Underrated: Kemal BB6. He was so hilarious and I loved the ''Someone's getting wet tonight and it's not Saskia line'' after they interrupted his sleep and they splashed him with water because he moaned.

Imogen has gotten incredibly overrated in recent years after the Ryan Giggs stuff. There's been this retconning that she was this goofy hilarious figure in BB7 when the truth was she was for 85% of the time an irrelevant dullard. I remember at the height of the scandal people were clambouring for her to go into the celebrity version with me just thinking "why would you want that when she was so poor first time around?!"

As much as I liked him Dexter is overrated too, his popularity largely stemmed from being aligned with Gina and being the main victim of the twins' self-righteousness.

Dexter. Like, what did he actually do? He's hailed as one of The Stars I Big Brother 14 but only had one storyline and that was The Triangle. He was boring.

Dexter's legacy is one of the most perplexing ones because he's supposedly A Big Character but nobody mentions anything he did that made him so great. All of his screentime was empty garbage.

Marcus falls in the exact same category too, he's praised as some amazing rebel but he literally just moped in the corner by the pool for half the series because Noirin wouldn't date him or whatever :rolleyes: am I supposed to think Marcus calling David a fat **** was the greatest put down ever on a show that gave us "at least someone got wet tonight" ? Am I supposed to be in stitches when Marcus yells "**** off you wanker!" at the BB voice like he's been doing for the past 57 days? Am I expected to have any positive reaction to the scene where he washes himself with a brillo pad? I don't think so.
