View Full Version : Luisa Not really bothered about Liz....

Luisa only feigns interest in Liz as Liz's media connections can help her either become a columnist (reference cringeworthy scene yesterday as she dropped hints about her opinionated nature TELLING Liz how great she'd be) or provide positive spin for her image or business. Liz, however, is hopefully too smart for this and ignored her unsubtle prompts.

Some on this forum have claimed that Luisa is the only one that has shown interest in Liz, but observe the fake task where Luisa thinks that Liz is being genuine about wanting to drown herself, crash into a wall or kill herself by any other means as she is feeling hopeless and worthless. Luisa's focus is the task and how difficult it is for HER to make Liz laugh, even lamely suggesting "laughter therapy". There is no genuine concern, just frustration that Linda's insecurities are getting in the way of her success. She later says to liz "I couldn't get you to laugh", not "you were having a really tough time". COW.

Any opinions?

Sorry, I didn't mean to steer this thread in the wrong direction.

Back on topic, I do think that Luisa was trying to get in favorable graces with Liz. After all, she is a businesswoman first. Liz is definitely a smart woman though and can probably sense that, but she could also use Luisa to her advantage to make herself get more camera time, popularity, and have someone to talk to as well.

I think that there is a bit of a bond between them though, they both have very blunt attitudes and are both a bit insensitive, so they can both see eye to eye on their POVs, whilst the others are all in showbiz and probably can't really understand Liz and Luisa's perspective as well.

So basically I do think that their friendship is pretty fake right now and just for their own benefit, but they could grow to genuinely like each other over time.

Liz seems genuinely baffled by people whereas luisa is just a self-centred sociopath. Can't place them in a similar bracket, though I get why Liz is more comfortable with Luisa as luisa lacks humanity.
