The video starts with Jim saying BB bought them some Cherry Brandy but they didnt drink it and ends with Linda accusing Jim of trying to cause a rift between her and Dappy. The bit in between has to be viewed for yourself as I'm sure different people will have different interpretations. Linda actually did drink her Cherry Brandy and thus thinks Jim only bought it up to make her look a beep.

Yeah she was turning that on Jim hoping to get Dappy on side. Not one of them said actually Linda you were the one that told everyone you had drunk yours not Jim, he said no one drank it. Calling him a coward, for what? Walking away rather than give her the argument she so desperately wants? Her desperation is very sad in trying to get him to lose his cool just so she can prove to the group she is right in her vendetta.

Its not natural for a woman of Lindas age to be acting so bitter towards Jim over an argument that happened between Jim and her husband so many years ago, most people move on from such negativity, and a persons mindset changes alot in 10 years, when we look back things are never the same as when we lived it.
I think she really needs to move on as shes just coming across as bitter and twisted

It's not like Linda walked into that house a joyful, happy person.
Clearly she has been unhappy for some time and in that house she is just using Jim as a hook to hang it all on.
I don't even think it's that personal against Jim as i imagine she does the exact same thing to other people in her life, outside the BB house - Play the blame game. She seems addicted to drama and negativity.
Linda's like a grievance looking for a cause.

Lolling @ people calling Linda vile and evil when it's Jim Davidson she's arguing with.
I keep reading this and I think this speaks volumes. Jim being a bad person in his past doesn't dictate his present or his future. Life is not a black and white right vs wrong pick a side game. Linda is being nasty to Jim. That doesn't therefore mean Jim is now a saint or whatever other crap people are trying to put in the mouths of anyone who points out Linda's flaws whenever she's scrapping with Jim, it just means that Linda is being nasty to Jim.
Lolling @ people calling Linda vile and evil when it's Jim Davidson she's arguing with.
To give you an exaggerated (but very real) example:
Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin were once at war with each other. Both men presided over a brutal war that saw millions of their own citizens die, and under their rule, mass genocides were committed, territory not belonging to them was invaded and captured and both irreparably damaged their countries' reputations forever. Stalin was on the side of the Allies, against Hitler, but once Hitler was taken care of, Stalin then became an opponent to the Allies and that tension later turned into the Cold War and still exists today; meanwhile Hitler's Nazi Germany was split into East and West, eventually reunified and Germany fully integrated into Western society and values and is a core part of that power base.
Now tell me, how can you possibly make a clear cut "___ is right and ___ is wrong" in that example? Life is not "one or the other", things change over time and I'm of the view that while Linda has every right to hate Jim for what he did to her life historically speaking and she has every right to maintain that hatred in the modern day she cannot expect people to apply her historical experience to what we're seeing in the modern day. Jim might have been the lowest kind of arsehole scum in the past but it is Linda who is making herself look bad now in the present day and time, not Jim. Does getting bullied and then going on to bully someone else make you look good, feel better or change how you felt when you were getting bullied? No. It doesn't. Linda needs to let go of her anger. Jim clearly has. You might think this is a ridiculous post but I've tried to reasonably explain why Jim has so much support to so many of you who have repeated these same points and nobody appears to want to listen.

The italicised Jim Davidson suggests that's exactly what he's referring to, Jim's past. People's pasts shouldn't define the rest of their lives, and especially not when the person we're discussing (Jim) hasn't beaten anyone up or lost his temper with anyone in the house, despite all the wife beater comments and people overanalysing who he has nominated.

Jim hasn't 'let go' of anything.. that analogy was too bizarre zee :joker:
She may have a deep seated dislike of jim, but he's not that hot on her either...
It's ruining the experience for both of them, it only really flares when they've had a bevvy, maybe hitler and stalin should try staying sober?

My point was that our perceptions of people and events can and should change over time as we're presented with new information. Being stuck in the past can only harm us and that doesn't help us to move on. Jim isn't stuck in the past, Linda very much is.

Reece will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe he dislikes Jim because of his history and that was why he italicised Jim's name in his comment. As I said, Jim having a horrible past doesn't justify other people being horrible to him. It just means they're horrible too. I don't get why so many people who hate Jim are trying to make Linda out to be all sweetness and light versus Jim's dark and stormy when the reality is that if Jim's still the horrible person he's always been then Linda's been dragged right down to his level trying to expose it; and if he's not the horrible person he was in the past then Linda's made herself look like a bitter, horrible person by forcing her agenda onto the other housemates and isolating him from the group.

I think they are borh very bitter about the past, in their shared experience there was obviously something very painful and the fallout from that is what we are seeing now.
It's unfair to lay all the blame at lindas door though, as it doesn't explain jims attitude towards luisa or liz does it?
He also rounded on casey who was one of his biggest supporters.
This might be why some feel jim is not all he presents himself to be.

I haven't seen the Jim/Casey clip but it was my understanding that he told her that Lee could have her any time she wanted and she would gladly let it happen - which is what pretty much everyone on here was saying about her? I haven't seen the clip so I can't comment on the context but to me that sounds like he was just being direct and honest with her.
I think Linda has chosen to direct all her anger about her past and has projected it all onto Jim; in her mind Jim is to blame for what happened to her husband, rather than dealing with her husband being caught stealing and being sentenced over it etc. Jim on the other hand seems to just find the whole world intolerable, everything makes him grumpy and gets on his nerves. If we were looking at this overall, like a film review, then the blame would lie with both of them. Personally though, I look at everything individually, rather than looking at the bigger picture, because Big Brother gives us a snapshot into these peoples' lives and personalities and so I feel it's futile to speculate about the bigger picture because there's a lot we don't know due to time constraints and the editing.
I actually agree that Jim isn't being himself - he said as much aloud to Luisa last week and it's clear that walking away from these conflicts with Linda is an anger management technique he's been employing. He sighs and walks away from it because it's not worth it. That's why I think he's 'over it' while Linda isn't. Linda can't walk away from her hatred of Jim; Jim always walks away from his hatred of Linda.

:laugh2: agreed!
I haven't suggested linda is blameless, just trying to be objective.
He's doing a grand enough job of isolating himself!
When they got the party the other day for example; he slunk in, everyone said 'yey! come on jim...' engaging him and whatnot like children desperately trying to prevent their parents divorcing, and he says ' I'm going to bed'.... why?
Later he was seen drinking with liz, so that dramatic exit was totally unnecessary!
For a supposed comedian he's done NOTHING but walk about with a face like a smacked arse the whole time, now seriously you can't tell me linda is 100% responsible for that?

Him being grumpy by nature has nothing to do with Linda, that's just who he is. Him spending lots of time by himself and keeping out of the way of Linda's group, however, that I believe Linda is responsible for. Linda's bitter, sour and never happy. Jim is bitter, sour and never happy. Two wrongs don't make a right and all that!

Jim is reacting to her abuse though, that makes him innocent. Jim does wind people up however, but when he is in the wrong it stands out, like the potato incident. I have never actually seen him attack Linda, and I have only ever seen him react to Linda.

Jim has tried on numerous occassions to try and be on friendly terms with Linda and when he cant do that he tries to distant himself away from her,he is doing the right thing by not rising to the bait.
He is not showing her any anamosity for the names she has called him ie baby, coward, snydie etc{which i think is bullying}and has chosen to ignore it.So if she comes out of this programme looking like some pantomine female villan she has only herself to blame.
Im sure there are thousands of showbiz people out there who hate having to mix and work with other celebs they dont like but they just get on with it.Linda is coming across more and more as being very unprofessional
