View Full Version : Linda Linda has no support
Just observing the polls... it seems that while a great number of people side with Linda in her arguments against Jim, she doesn't seem to have much support. I don't think people actually like her as a person, they just think Jim is horrible and side with her in their arguments but wouldn't consider voting to save her if she was up for eviction unless it was against Jim maybe. Do you think Linda is an eviction waiting to happen? She's managed to avoid being up so far by a combination of flukes and sheer luck, I think she's a goner as soon as she's up.

Yeah, I don't know who would really have her as a favourite, the only thing that defines her in there is her war with Jim so basically it's a negative thing which might make people side with her against Jim but not necessarily like her

She's least favourite to win the whole thing which suggests she'd be likely to go if up for eviction.

yes as soon as she is up, she's out.

Yeah like without Jim in there she would have nothing to talk about and she wouldn't be able to suddenly "enjoy" herself in there because the only times I've seen her have a smile on her face is when she's getting on with Jim in between fighting with him!?
On here she has the same amount of support as Sam, 1.7% although no one ever seems to say they support either.
But yeah I don't think she's a very likeable person, comes across as being very bitter about everything and everyone IMO if it wasn't for her arguing with Jim she would be unknown to the viewers.
This is a little off topic but I think she took great pleasure in telling Casey what Lee had said about her, she felt as if Jim had hurt her with Frank Carson comment so wanted someone else to feel hurt too, that's just the impression I got from watching that unfold.

I do agree, although I am one who sides with Jim against her in their arguments more often than not.
I am a little annoyed at Jim for not nominating her this week really because then she would have been up as well and in my opinion out too.

I think as soon as she's up she'll be out. even her arguing with jim didn't seem to win her any fans .
I think Linda wanted to appoint herself as patron saint of women by provoking Jim into revealing his nasty side but because he's held out on her and she's become obsessed with trying to get him to flip out at her, it's just meant that while a lot of people are on her side whenever they clash, nobody actually seems to like her? Whereas if he'd been coming at her unprovoked instead of them being as bad as each other and she'd been bursting into tears instead of bitching about him, she'd be in a totally different position now and so would he.

Chuff, why has she been the best HM? She's bitched and sniped and generally been a real downer. I understand that you went against Jim when he said what he did, but do you honestly believe she has been a good HM? Why?

I think shes been the best housemate this year, she held her dignity against evil attacks by Jim ,even dragging her dead husband into it, shes shown dignity i wouldnt have hung onto, I would have drown the arrogant in the pool a long time ago
I don't think she's held her dignity at all, chuff. She's just as argumentative as Jim and has been looking to fight with him at any opportunity that presents itself, that's not very dignified at all in my opinion. Dignified would be leaving her past problems with Jim behind, which is what Jim seems to do for the most part.

If Jim had done that why did he bring up her dead husband ,esp knowing how deep it would hurt her ?

I agree with Chuff, Linda may not be my favourite but she coped admirably when Jim was attacking her deceased husband.

He told Luisa to ask Linda about Frank Carson's dressing room. Linda was angered and upset by him reminding her of it. When did he "attack" her deceased husband? He didn't even bring up her husband. Luisa asked them both why Linda hated Jim so much, neither would come out and say it, Jim brought it up indirectly and didn't even say it to Linda's face until she confronted him. They're as bad as each other and she's certainly not dignified (nor is he).

Maybe she shouldn't have brought the past into the house then and started with a clean slate?

I'd imagine that would have been pretty hard for her to do considering what happened in frank carson's dressing room involved her husband who is no longer alive. it can't be easy for her to live with him, let alone act like everything is fine.
